Hebrew Music -

Postby ILuvEire » 2009-08-20, 12:51

Share your Hebrew music!

Lirot et ha'ot - 'Efrat Gosh

Hadag Nachash - Hene 'Ani Ba

Hadag Nachash - Mesparim

Shalom, Salaam, Peace - Hadag Nachash

I'm not sure if I romanized the first one correctly, I tried posting them with the correct script, but the url codes kept getting messed up, so I gave up and transliterated all of it.

I've been listening to the album בקצב אחיד בתנועות של הגוף by עברי לידר a lot recently.

Apostrophes should represent glottal stops, so... "lir'ot et ha'or". :)

The title should be "מוזיקה עברית". :P

You guys have covered it all already! Hm...

Really a staple of Israeli music, and as a bonus, their lyrics aren't terribly difficult to understand. :)

both Hebrew music and music in Hebrew are ok as title, though, Hebrew music don`t must be in Hebrew.

Here's one for you:
Birthday:

Then there's this one, which is pretty neat, unfortunately I don't have the lyrics for this one

I'm quite sure this birthday song (one of my favorites!) is Barry Saharoff's :o And he's not related to Infected Mushroom afaik. Don't they just do electronic/trance music without lyrics?
Anyway it's funny to watch a youTube "clip" with just audio and an album cover :P

Kashur bach - Tomer Matneh
I understand a lot of this song! But I don't know the correct transliteration of his last name.

Hello, I don't want to change this forum into a lyrics site but there is this Hebrew song I like a lot, it's performed by the charming Harel Skaat and it's called 'lehitkarev', one of the eurovision songs. I can't find the Hebrew lyrics anywhere (it's rather hard searching when you don't know how to speak or write Hebrew), the English lyrics can be found on youtube but I'd really appreciate if someone could help me find the lyrics in Hebrew, it would take me some time to decifer the script but it's still better than just guessing what words he's pronouncing exactly. :)
Thank you, toda

Here's a transcribed version of the Hebrew lyrics, not too well done but I hope it helps:
sof shel yom
shuv matchil halayla
b'chalon makom muchar
oleh lema'la chom haguf
yashuv lishbor levad b'yachad
b'shaon m'chog echad sofer iti od kama
kama od merchakim lehitkarev
el kol ma she'az ataf oti chibek

v'reyk li biladav ze haya v'achshav
b'atzmi mechapes lehitkarev
tom hachom
kor nichnas la'cheder

al ha'kir ha'shir
milim k'tuvot al even
or kaveh rafeh maga lotef sfataiim
kol ha'ir dumam v'rak ani shoel od kama
kama od merchakim lehitkarev

el kol ma she'az ataf oti chibek
v'reyk li biladav at hayita v'achshav

Here are the lyrics in Hebrew script in case you were interested:
