Great! :-]

Instead of 'öğle zamanı', you can say → öğlen
'çimi' is fine, but oftentimes it's used in plural → çimenleri, just so you know
'güneş ışığı yakar' is perfect, but we also simply say: → güneş yakar.

Sen her o espriyi yaptığında bir dolar kazansaydım şimdiye trilyoner olmuştum.

No, you couldn't have seen me here; it must've been somebody else.

You can say: Hayır, beni burada görmüş olamazsın; başkasıdır o.

It's just a gut feeling.

The literal translation of this sentence sounds a bit strange to me:
İşi severim, diğerlerinin onu yapışını saatlerce izleyebilirim.

Here is a translation based on the meaning. This sounds more natural, I think:
Çalışmayı severim, diğer insanların çalışmasını saatlerce izleyebilirim.

That people fifty years from now might speak slightly differently from us is considered a herald to the demise of civilization as we know it.

It doesn't make much sense to me without the context, but here we go:

50 yıl sonra insanların bizden biraz farklı konuşabileceği, medeniyetin tanıdığımız halinin sona ereceğinin habercisi iddia edilir.

Is this a phrase from a sci-fi book, or does it have something to do with our reality?
