Is that old version of Teach Yourself Danish any good? I have the second book you mention, but I feel it's a bit dense at times. Still, it's better than most Danish learning books out there...

I like the old Teach Yourself Danish, but it can also be quite dense. Unlike the Elementary Grammar and Reader, TY has a consistant plot throughout similar to modern TYs, but here the grammar is explained in depth. Making it easier to follow.

I just bought the 1973 edition earlier this week. Finally some IPA!
