http://learn-hindi-online.com/hindi-practice/phir-mohabbat.php you can listen to Hindi songs and see the lyrics in Devanagari. It also shows the meanings of some of the less common words.

خوش آمدید, langurdu.

Have you tried Darvazah? It teaches the script and has some video lessons. They're good, but a lot of the lessons don't work anymore. I think most of them were from A Door into Hindi. That site uses Devanagari though, and it can be hard to follow if you can't read it. You might be better off buying a book and some CDs.

I don't think I posted this:

http://hindiurdu.net/
This site has videos with the transcripts in Hindi.

http://www.infodarpan.com/
This is a great site with tons of lyrics.

http://www.bollynook.com
This site has a ton of lyrics translated into every single language from Hindi. It also has a lot of good links for Bollywood lovers.

This is a great site with tons of videos for practicing Hindi. I recommend that you be at least intermediate before starting though.

The modern Indo-Aryan languages are about 1,000 years old, so "over 900 years" is a bit of an exaggeration, and it seems like Hindi prose dates back no further than 1800. However, we do have examples of poetry in Hindi dating back to the 12th century, which is about as old as Devanagari is.

Hindi is one of the beautiful language and difficult one if someone try to learn as compared to English, if someone is not native speaker of the language. I specifically add few more links in the post

1. http://www.dict.hinkhoj.com
2. http://meaninginhindi.net

You can learn the meaning of few words.

That reminds me. I never posted this link here. It has a list of (usually fairly old) dictionaries for various Indian languages, including both Hindi and Urdu, as well as two comparative dictionaries (Turner's is for Indo-Aryan languages in general, so it's very useful if you want to study the etymology of native Hindi words/tadbhavs):

http://dsal.uchicago.edu/dictionaries/

Out of the ones listed there, the one I use most often for Hindi/Urdu by far is the Platts one:
