All the episodes are on youtube, I think its old but it's really good. I'm finding it very helpful to watch Urdu and Hindi drama's to hear the difffirences between them.

Well, here's another resource that I mentioned in the songs thread once: the Pakistani serial Larka Karachi Ka Kuri Lahore Di. :D If you want a bit of information on what this serial is, I'd like to refer you to this post I made. :P

All of the episodes are on YouTube, so two posts below that, I posted the first episode. But here it is again anyway.

Hey, Nasḫ can be just as aesthetic as Nasta‘līq, it all depends on the font. Arial, Times New Roman and Sans Serif make me want to gouge my eyes out, what with their sharp teeth. They're too stark in my opinion.

Also, you must keep in mind that regardless of an Urdu speaker's ability to install Nasta‘līq support, the script still has a certain air of conservatism about it, but I can't be sure whether that's a factor in its lack of presence on the internet.

I've been trying to write Persian with a Nasta‘līq-influenced hand (so not Shekaste) but it's proving a challenge. The problem is that conventional ballpoint pens don't have as much friction as traditional reed or modern Iranian/Pakistani wide-nib pens.

Yeah you are right the pens suck. My Arabic teacher make us use a special kind of pen and we are all only writing in Naskh and it still looks bad :P

Learn it from YouTube. You will be able to read online content within a few days. And signs in a month or so. And if you cannot read a sign , just read the devanagari script text (on the same signboard of course) which will surely be there. and that now you know what is written, just try to recognise the letters . This helps. I have become moderately fluent But still for me devanagari is like 1000 times easier. Practice makes perfect.
