Rumauntsch (Romansh)

Is anyone else interested in Romansh? I think it's beautiful. My favorite dialect is Putèr. I found a really good song in it, and uploaded it to YouTube for everyone to listen too. :D

The lyrics are in the description.

Here You can find a text with recording in the dialect, the Vallader dialect, Rumantsch Grischun (the "standard" dialect), and English.

Here is a text in the same dialect.

It is the Romance language I like more than any.

I was sure there was another topic on Romansh, but it turned out only to be the one self-promotion thread.

I do have a small interest in Romansh, as what is arguably the 'most Swiss' language. It's pleasant to hear and look at, but it's in an unfortunate situation.

I'm a Sursilvan man myself, but all I have is a "grammar" (really just Formenlehre, if that says something to you) of Vallader and a novel in Rumantsch Grischun.

It's a shame you don't know German. http://www.pledarigrond.ch/ is much more comprehensive.

Yeah that's a pity :\ I also wonder whether I'll be able to find some material in either English or Italian.

I've seen a few things in English. I've never looked for any in Italian. Tu peux lire le français sans peine?

Oui, lire le français n'est pas un problème pour moi.

You're familiar with RTR, Switzerland's public TV and radio offer in Rumantsch?

http://www.rtr.ch/home.html

I don't think they do that online, but on their actual TV channels, you can switch on subtitles and then you can watch the news programmes with subtitles. E.g. on SRF, you get German subtitles then. I assume it's the same on the other channels.
Please correct my mistakes!

Verbix has inaugurated a Romansh verb conjugator, though they didn't bother to tell us which variety that's supposed to be , I would assume it's either Rumatsch Grischun or Sursilvan (the most spoken variety of Romansh)...
