Because pronouns in a Vietnamese sentence would change depending on whom you're talking with, or about. The interrelation between you and that someone, to be precise. Anyway, I got it now, thanks. I'll just assume you're writing a text with a literary leaning.

Oh stop You don't have a "poor English command". It's a perfectly grammatical and correct utterance. Being able to make things that sound 100% natural is sometimes difficult, especially when you don't live in the target country.

loqu, dream is a tricky word to translate since it can mean both 'images and sensations you experience during sleep' or 'hopes, aspirations', which one did you have in mind?
