THE ORIGINAL TEXT
A green and orange boat, black in the night, grumbled and drummed past their balcony, not thirty feet from their wedding bed. It was going to sea with only its running lights on. Its empty holds were resonant, made the song of the engines rich and loud.

“I’m going to lose weight for you,” she said.
    “What?”
“I’m going to go on a diet. I’m going to become beautiful for you.”
“I like you just the way you are.”
    “Do you really?”
“Really,” Bill said. He had already seen a lot of their marriage; thanks to time-travel, he knew that it was going to be at least bearable all the way.
(Adaptated from Slaughterhouse V. I meant to take off all proper names, but I forgot that "Bill" towards the end. )

FINAL TEXTS

Team Green
A green and orange boat in the night. Thirteen meters below the deck, a terrible scream from a marital bed. He is alone on the beach, which is illuminated by sunshine. Apparently going, but the car's sound is very weak.
    "I'll go first," she says.
    "Why?"
"I want to see the wedding dress. I want to freeze with a good expression."
    "Liar!"
"Really, ha!" said Bill. He had already seen the dress, because he had already went riding near, knowing that she had recently bought the dress.
Team Blue
The ship with oranges was lying in a harbor in a dark night.
The bed of the strong marriage was seven meters above sea level.
The ship cut through the waves while the lights there remained lit.
As the travelling clearly made its sound, there was a lot of noise in the room.
    “I’m collapsing!”
    “Why?”
“I’m worried about you and I eat little.”
    “I love you already.”
    “Oh my, really?”
“Yes, yes,” Bill assured her. “The wedding is fixed forever, we will soon have a honeymoon, I will endure a marriage some way or other.”

GREEN TEAM

« Quoi ?

- “Waarom?”
A boat green and orange, dark in the night, growling and drumming on the front deck. Not even thirty feet away from the marrige bed. He went to the beach alone with the lights on. The hold sounds empty, which makes the sound of the engine sound rich and strong.

- “I’ll put on weight for you” she says.
- “Why?”
- “I’ll keep myself to the fashion. I want to become beautiful for you.”
- “I love you like you are.”
- “That’s not true!”
- “It’s true!” says Bill. He has seen a lot of their marriage, thanks to the time journey, he knows it’s bearable till the end.

"Warum?"
A boat, green en orange, dark in the night, growling and drummed in front on their deck. Not even 30 meters from the wedding bed. He had gone to the beach alone with lighted lights. The hold sounds empty, which makes the sound of the motor sound rich and loud.

A boat, green and orange, dark in the night, creaks and bangs on the deck below, not even thirteen meters from the bridal bed. He went alone to the shore with lit candles. His home felt hollow for the noise of the cars sounded deep and strong.
“I leave before you,” she said.
“Why?”
“I handle the clothes. I want to look beautiful for you.”
“I love you so.”
“Liar!”
“It’s true!” said Bill. Already he saw much of his wedding; with the time travels grace he knew that he will manage till the end.

Einn bátur, grænn og appelsínugulur, dimmur í nóttinni, ískrar og brakar undir þilförum, bara þrettán metrar undan brúðarrúminu. Hann fór einmana að ströndina með kveiktum ljósum. Honum virðist heimilið verðlaust því að bílarnir hljóma dimmt og hart.
"Ég fer áður en þú," sagði hún.
"Af hverju?"
"Ég verð að sjá um brúðakjólnum. Ég vil ganga i augun á þér."
"Ég elska þig gífurlega."
"Lygari!"
"Það er satt!" sagði Bill. Hann hafði nú þegar séð mikið af brúðkaupinu sínu - því að hann færi á ferð í gegnum tími, veit hann að þeir verða að hava það í meðallagi til loka.
A boat, green and orange, dark in the night, creaks and squirks under the deck, just thirteen meters away from the bride bed. He went alone to the beach with lit lanterns/lights. His home seemed worthless because the cars are making deep and hard sounds.
"I'm leaving before you," she said.
"Why?"
"I will take care of the wedding dress. I want to be pretty for you."
"I love you very much."
"Liar!"
"It's true!" said Bill. He had already seen a lot of his wedding; because he goes time traveling, he knows that they will be doing okay until the end.

"Kial?"
"Mi devas vidi la edziĝan robon. Mi volas impresi vin."
"Mensoganto!"
"Estas vere!" diris Bill. Li jam ..isis viditan multon de ilia edziĝa robo ĉar li iris al vojaĝo tra tempo, li scias ke ili havos ĝin relative baldaŭ.
A boat, green and orange, dim in the night, screeches and cracks below decks, only thirteen meters before the bridal bed.

"Miksi?"
"Haluan nähdä hääpuvan. Haluan jättää hyvää vaikutelmaa."
"Valehtelija!"

A green and orange boat, black in the night, echoed and knocked against the side of her dock, less than ten meters from her marriage bed. She went out to sea with only her navigation lights lit. Her cellars echoed, singing the song of the engine powerfully and lavishly.

"I'm going to lose weight for you", she said.
"Huh?"
"I'm going on a diet. I'll make myself beautiful for you."
"I like you as you are."
"You do?"
"Yes," said Bill. He already knew much about his marriage. Thanks to the trips he had taken throughout his life, he knew that things would be at least bearable till the end.

“Come?”
“Mi piace come sei”.
“Vero?”
A green and orange boat, late at night, echoed and hit the flank of its dock, less than ten meters away from the wedding bed. Towards the ocean, it sailed with only the navigation lights turned on. Its cellars sounded, singing the songs of the engines loudly and luxuriously.
“For you, I will lose weight”, she said.
“How?”
“I’ll make a diet, to be beautiful for you”.
“I like you the way you are”.
“Is that true?”.
“Yes”, said Bill. He already knew well his marriage. Because of the travel, which had gone over the course of his wedding, he knew that everything would be at least tolerable until the end.

A green and orange ship echoed late at night and reached the side of the quay, less than 10 metres away from the wedding bed. Against the ocean it sailed with only the navigation lights. Its bars sounded, they have sung the songs of the engines loud and luxuriously.

The ship was cutting the waves with lights on.
In the room there was noisy, because the motor was playing it's melody.
"i feel sick"
"Why?"
"I am worried about you and I am skipping the meals"
"i like already"
"really?"
Bill acquiesced : "yes, yes", "the marriage is already decided, then we will go to newlywed travel, at least I will go trough the marriage somehow"

The orange ship stopped around the haven in the dark night. The bed of the sure marriage stood 10 meters from the sea's surface. The ship with lights turned on was splitting the waves. Because the machine was clearly making noise with its song/sound, there was a great noise in the room.
- I feel faint.
- Why [indeed]?
- (for) I am scared about you and eat less.
- I already like you.
- Really?
- Yes, yes, confirmed Bill, the wedding [is] already set, then there will be the wedding trip, I'll stand up somehow the marriage [ceremony].

The orange ship stopped around the harbour in a dark night.
The bed of the firm marriage stood ten meters above sea-level.
The ship cut the waves with lights being lit.
For when the machine clearly made its tune, there was a big noise in the room.
“I’m fainting” [she said];
“Why?”
“[For] I fear for you and I eat little.”
“I love you already.”
“Oh! Really?”
“Yes, yes,” confirmed Bill. “The wedding is already set, then there will be a honeymoon, a marriage I will endure one way or another.”

Lols:
  • Apparently going, but the car's sound is very weak.
  • "I want to freeze with a good expression."
    "Liar!"
    "Really, ha!" said Bill.
  • The bed of the strong marriage was seven meters above sea level.

Oopsie! Meant to write "bride's bed," but wanted to change it to "bridal" - apparently I forgot :P

"I'm going to lose weight for you" ~~~ "I'm collapsing!"

You should look at the semantic drift.

I'm going to lose weight for you > I'll get weak because of you > I feel sick > I feel faint > I'm fainting > I'm collapsing

I'm going to become beautiful for you. > I want to become beautiful for you. > I want to look beautiful for you. > I want to be pretty for you. > I want to impress you. > I want to leave a good impression. > I want to freeze in a good expression. > I want to freeze with a good expression.

Thirty feet - > thirty meters. Stupid mistake. But apparently I'm not the only one who has made stupid mistakes. :)

Indeed Renacido - I already spent an hour looking at different aspects of the texts :)

I did use a couple of idioms in my translation by the way, but it doesn't seem like it caused too many problems.

I really thought that the woman in the French text was saying she wanted to put on weight. It didn't make sense to me, but I couldn't make anything else of it.

This was a hard text to translate, especially because the context is so small.

It was not your fault, it was a typo. Instead of perdre 'to lose' Renaçido wrote predre, which you interpreted as prendre 'to take, to gain'. I have to say there are less elegant ways to get from losing weight to putting it on

I assumed "su" referred to the boat and not to the couple mentioned later on, so I interpreted it as the boat getting "married" to Bill and taking her maiden voyage. Or something . . .

Hahaha, during my retirement I missed this.

- A green and orange boat in the night [...] on the beach, which is illuminated by sunshine. Weird night indeed
- "I'm worried about you and I eat little".
