But I'm planning on getting a cheap airfare to Mumbai (Croatia-Istanbul-Mumbai) with Turkish airlines, and from there you can fly cheap with Kingfisher Red. :P 6 flights for 600 USD ;)

From mumbai are you going to go to Kerala?

I have to organize the trip ;)

Mumbai-Bangalore-Kochi-Chennai-Andaman Islands-Chennai-Mumbai
6 trips for 600 usd :P

From Europe, India is very cheap to fly to,
that's why India and Thailand are popular, and Mexico is not

What? Really?! Yeah!! Gosh though, I sure do miss Tamil. A lot. I feel like I'm the missing link between activity versus dormancy on this forum. Ugh, on the other hand though, I feel like I've already lost my wanderlust for Arabic. Just like a one-night stand. Arabic is the guy that got me pregnant and left the next morning without a trace, leaving me with his baby. No homo. :P

ImageRandom page from my old Tamil notes. Please excuse my nearly illegible cursive Roman letters though.

I've been seriously considering Tamil(or maybe Malayalam... hmmm...) for a while now... Only problem is the lack of books. >.<

Grr!
Tamil is so sexy with it's curvy letters and it's delightfully unique phonology.
It's just so.... beautiful. <3

Don't do Malayalam! Do Tamil! :D And hey! That's exactly why I love Tamil too!
In any case, as goes for the lack of books, there are some pretty damn good online resources I'm using..

Yeah, I'll check out the resources topic a little later. I've always been a bit bothered by using online things(no idea why), but perhaps I will make an exception for my love of Tamil :)

Well whether you use books or online resources, your efforts to learn the beautiful Tamil language will be greatly appreciated by us! We need some new people and some activity on this forum! :D
Not to mention that I was the main one pressing for the formation of the Tamil forum to begin with..
