ÍSLENSKA - ICELANDIC

Hey

Not much about icelandic is going on.
I would like here to take, participate or even give a class.

Ég ætli að tala við íslendingum, eða þau eru erfit að finna.
Ég veit að ég gera mörg mistök, en ég á að byrja einhvers staðar.

Ef ég gæti að betna hér í UNILANG.ORG, það sé ég mjög ánægður, en til þess að betna þyrfi ég að tala saman á íslensku.
Ég byrjaði að læra íslensku fyrra ár.
Ég læra alla daga og ég lesa mikið og ég get í Morgunbláðið.is

Svo, til þess að maður betna þarf hann að tala.
Og hér er hvar ég geri það.
Svo,
gerðu svo vel og komdu við mér.

Étienne Poisson.
Einnig Egein.

I would "enroll" in such a class if you set one up. I don't know much about Icelandic, but I do know that its speakers take pride in how unchanged the langauge is.

ok.
This will sound silly.

But how should I set up one?

I wish we would just have this disscusion place we could learn.

If you want to create a classroom where you can teach icelandic, please go to the Virtual School of Languages subforum and open a thread there.
You can find info in the 'readme' post there.

Egein, consider this: If you want to practise writing in icelandic with native Icelandics or other learners of that language, then you’ve posted your messages in the right subforum. Be warned though, that I have yet to see the first native Icelandic who is also a regular visitor of this site. Furtermore, writing in a language other than the one mentioned in the title (in this case, icelandic) is not what this subforum was intended for.

However, if you want to practise writing in icelandic and about icelandic in english, with the option of teaching icelandic to others some day, the Virtual School of Languages is a better place for that. As you can see, there are already a couple of people interested in the language.
I can move this thread to the VsoL for you, if you want.

A beginning of Icelandic grammar

Postby senatortombstone » 2004-08-19, 16:01

Here is a site that extensively teaches the grammar of German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwiegan, Danish and Icelandic. Even better is that fact that you can be taught in either of the six languages, including english. So if you're Dutch and you want to learn Danish, you can learn Danish with Dutch instruction.

Ég er að vilja að læra og að kenna Islansk.

I want to learn and teach Icelandic :)
I'm learning from a book right now, but I can post the lessons here as I learn them, and come up with exercises, if it's wanted. The original poster (guest? :? ) seems to have disappeared, so I hope he doesn't mind me derailing his post...[/b]

Oh, great! projetdefleur!
I'll be very glad if you do this!
You know, in China, there is no book dealing with this language! So, we can learn nothing here! I'm very happy that you can help!

Hello projetdefleur,

I think for both learning and teaching Icelandic the Virtual School of Languages is a better suited place than here. I can move this thread to the VSoL forum, if you want.

i like the idea of an icelandic course here but it seems that the only people willing to start one don't speak icelandic fluently :)
but like i said there's lots of us here so just let us know if we can help
