I have been learning it for 10 months although i have not made much progress because of the lack of resources however i have made a bengali blog and im trying to promote the language alot. i love bengali sooo much! i just recently got teach yourself bengali and im using it now.

It is ok, my English is not so good either But if you really want to learn bangla, you have to learn to read the bangla scripts.
By the way, I'm curious to know, why do you want to learn Bangla?

I can read Bangla but I dont regonize the words when I read them I know certain words like আমি(aami) lol but my reading is very slow and bad I want to learn Bengali because I really like Bengali literture and Bengali films. And I really love Bengali's, they are so freindly. But also because in school im doing south asian studies and south asian history as my major because im very interested in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and Nepal. I also study hindi, panjabi and Tamil But I think Bengali is my top favorite.

And thanks so much Im so glad to have a Bengali speaker here.

It is difficult to watch youtube videos from here, because too slow internet speed. Most of people here use dial up internet connection in average 15-20 kbps speed
