pli = more?

mafke wrote:As far as I know there is no one 'correct' way of pronouncing pliigi (and ree and heroo and ghuu and firmaa). Well, theoretically just pronouncing two separate but identical vowels is correct but that's harder to do than most people realize.
The two main strategies (that I've heard) seem to be
1. try to pronounce two separate vowels and end up with some kind of glide between them
2. separate them with a glottal stop
I usually end up doing the first.
