Because I have an adopted son in Manipura (Meitei) (near Imphal - India) I should like to know more about this language. Some sentences, phrases and words. Can somebody help me?

Thank you for the link. The similarity to Tibetan is new for me.

I wrote your information to my former forster son in Manipur. This is his answer:

"Well, it makes me surprise to know that Tibetan’s language and our language is similar. This makes me think of my past in Derah-Dun. I came across many Tibetan people who speak different languages even we can’t communicate each other. But I haven’t seen their script."

I like to meet him, but his wife doesn't speak English. I like to communicate with her.
