One of you guys mentioned that Slovak-Hungarian is harder to understand than Standard Hungarian.

Could you elaborate a bit more on this?

Well, for all I know, the only difference is the pronunciation of "a" and "á" as he - I believe - mentioned it.

Yes, it was me. When I was in Northern Hungary (in Nógrád county) there people already spoke the same dialect and sometimes it was hard to get what they said.
