Jy praat nog steeds my taal
You still speak my language
(I think this is deliberately ambiguous. "Language can be the object of "speak" or Bok is addressing the language: "You still speak, my language".)
It litterally means that the flames are burning everything, there's nothing left. In this sense "kaal" rather means "bare" than "naked". Eg. Die veld is kaal - the field is bare (there are no plants or trees.Die vlamme brand so kaal
The flames burn so bald.
(Not sure I get this. "Kaal" is bald or naked. Is there an idiom here I don't get?)
Want om 'n kampvuur wil ek die ou dinge herhaal
Because around a campfire I will repeat the old things.
Sê my voel jou nou
Say to me you feel now (???)
(Trouble parsing this line. "Voel" can be a noun or verb, "my" can be possessive or objective. "You now say my feeling"? )
Soos ons taal nou bou
As our language now builds
(Is this right?)
Dat ek trots kan gaan waar Afrikaners staan
That I proudly can go where Afrikaners stand
Want jy praat nog steeds my taal
Want jy praat nog steeds my taal
Ja jy praat nog steeds my taal
Because you still speak my language
Because you still speak my language
Yes you still speak my language
Sonder jou voel ek verdwaal
Without you I feel lost
En 'n koue vuur
And a cold fire
Sê kole brand nooit uit nie
Say coals never burn out
In die donker voel ons elkeen raak ons aan
In the dark we feel someone touch us
Want my hart lê hier
Because my heart lies here
Hier waar my mense staan
Here where my people stand
Saam met elke hart en siel
Together with each heart and soul
Sal ek op staan
I shall stand up

No, if he was addressing the language, there would've been a comma after "steeds"

Sê my hoe voel jy nou. Tell me how you feel now. "Voel" is not a noun. The noun is "gevoel" (feeling).
Soos ons taal nou bou

Yes. It refers to the political situation in the country. During the apartheid years Afrikaans was seen by blacks as the language of the oppressors. Now that apartheid is gone, more blacks are willing to speak Afrikaans.Dat ek trots kan gaan waar Afrikaners staan
That I proudly can go where Afrikaners stand
Want jy praat nog steeds my taal
Want jy praat nog steeds my taal
Ja jy praat nog steeds my taal
Because you still speak my language
Because you still speak my language
Yes you still speak my language
Sonder jou voel ek verdwaal
Without you I feel lost

Sê kole brand nooit uit nie
Say coals never burn out
The quotation is wrong. It's not sê (say), it's "se" which indicates possession - - En 'n koue vuur se kole brand nooit uit nie - And a cold fire's coals newer burn out.
In die donker voel ons elkeen raak ons aan
In the dark we feel someone touch us
In the dark we feel everyone touching usWant my hart lê hier
Because my heart lies here
Hier waar my mense staan
Here where my people stand
Saam met elke hart en siel
Together with each heart and soul
Sal ek op staan
I shall stand up
The line "saam met elke hart en siel" is a variation of the expression "met hart en siel" (Ek glo in iets met hart en siel - I believe in something with heart and soul). It means you're totally dedicated, and strongly believes in something. The expression is never used the way it is used here in the song.
Hope this helps!
The lyrics are actually pretty weak, and doesn't make a lot of sense.
