Words of encouragement

Postby lyric » 2007-06-06, 12:39

Hello Magyar speakers,

Your help is needed to complete the list of words of encouragement: http://home.unilang.org/wiki3/index.php ... ouragement

i.e. words you say to yourself or others when trying to accomplish a hard task,
like for example learning a new language .

Examples: "You can make it.", "Go-ahead! ", "Go!"

How do you say in Magyar?

(When possible in original lettering and English transcription)

Thanks,
Lyric

In what special situations do you use "Előre"?
And how would you literally translate it?

Thanks a lot,
I just added them to the wiki.

[Let’s go] forward!

You could say that to a team or battalion to start moving.

Ezt mondhatnád egy csapatnak vagy hadtestnek, hogy elinduljanak.
Tanulni, tanulni, tanulni!

A pő, ha engemély, kimár / De mindegegy, ha vildagár... / ...mert engemély mindet bagul, / Mint vélgaban a bégahur!...
