What is this language?

It's a song of "Dead Can Dance". It's called "Emmeleia"
I don't have any idea in which language it is.
The lyrics are:

Maybe it's just fantasy... they have a few songs with fantasy lyrics :)

It sounds fake because the guy can't seem to roll his r's and he sounds english and he aspirates the stops.

sounds like one of the made-up DCD languages?
I read st. Emmeleia was a saint from Turkey. Maybe and ancient language from those regions?

I liked that. It reminds me of Hildegard von Bingen. Maybe the lyrics are creative license on a Latin base. Alot of the words seem very familiar.... but not quite there.

:shock: Like I said before: Dead Can Dance use fantasy lyrics in some of their songs, and they don't claim them to be some real language, so what's "fake" about that?

Catalan?!?! That has nothing similar to catalan, in fact, catalan is too beautiful to be similar to that 8)

I doubt very much it is a real language, seeing

(a) no-one here can recognise it or even hazard a guess to what it might be

(b) googling any combination of two of the words from the song brings you directly to the lyrics, suggesting that the language isn't used anywhere else on the internet.

(c) somebody said that this band often has songs with fantasy lyrics.
