we have an uzbek forum:
http://home.unilang.org/main/forum/view ... hp?t=13872
uzbek and uyghur are not the same, but they are close enough that uzbeks and uyghurs can understand each other.

Mr. Mirac

Since there are no forums for Uyghur and also since Uyghur belongs to the turkic it's pretty normal and appropriate that i posted Uyghur here....no problem if some of you don't understand Uyghur...i'm sure there are a lot of Turkish people who have knowledge about Uyghur...thank you for the website

and i think he is wrong. turkish and uyghur have even less to do with each other than, say, spanish and catalan, but no one would dare to file catalan under spanish. this is what the 'forum for all other languages' is for, if one for your language does not exist, you _create your own_.
and one more thing - do you really expect someone to teach you their language from scratch just because you asked? most native speakers would balk at such an idea...

Mr. Zhiguli,
FYI, if you have so much problem about "MOI" posting such kind of forum then ignore my forum don't make such a biggie on everything...not everybody thinks as you are...

as for me, i would teach Tagalog and Mandarin from scratch because that's what we are here for...to learn...so if you don't want to teach me it's ok...pakialam ko!

i don't know about this Turkish or Uzbek attitide you've got there...but if you are really not happy of Uyghur being a member of your tongue...then you have to sue wikipedia for including Uyghur as branch of the turkic language

sorry ha bad trip ako sa mga epaloids!

Kenji27, it's just like asking questions about Icelandic in the German forum, nothing more.

Amikeco

i wonder why it's such a big deal for them that i posted about Uyghur on Turkish thread..if there is a Uyghur thread or forum I wouldn't post there...get the logic?

and besides i posted my own topic...not on their topic...

i found them rude.

The only thing i wanted to tell was that Turks can not understand Uyghur. Kenji wrote here, and people would understand as if he wants from Turks to teach him Uyghur.

My point is there are some turks who understand Uyghur and i would appreciate those people to teach me Uyghur. that's all. I didn't say that all turks should or must teach me Uyghur...

I can understand his posting here asking about Uyghur. If I was looking for someone who had some knowledge of it here, I may not necessarily post a thread, but I would certainly know that if there was any place on Unilang I would have the greatest chance of finding an individual with knowledge of Uyghur, the Turkish forum would be rather high on my list. Why are some people so hostile?

I supposed that he supposes; Turks can understand Uyghur, and i said: "Turks can not understand it."
Then i apologised, look at previous messages. Being in same family doesn't mean that you understand all languages. Then we said, there is a forum about all other languages. That is all.

"hostile" is because he didn't take the hint the first time, when people explained it nicely, and still stubbornly refuses to get it. turkish and turkic are not the same thing, any more than german is the same as germanic, as pointed out. if i were to start threads about hebrew in the arabic forum, that have nothing to do with the latter in any way, that would be just *dumb*.

and i was getting along with Turks brothers.
if we can talk slowly,we can understand properly.
the only deffirence that Turks brother are using words of Europian languages. but we ( Uyghur ) 're using Farsi,Arabic words.
