Locative Case

Ahoj! I've been learning Czech for a few weeks now. I'm using the Teach Yourself book. I'm trying to learn the Locative Case but the book is very confusing when it explains it. Its all over the place with it. The only thing I understood from it was that this case is only used with prepositions. Can anyone explain to me the endings for each gender? Děkuji!

You`re right, you can`t use locative without a preposition; I believe prepositions that go with locative are v/ve, na, o, po, při - I can`t think of any others (hm, which doesn`t necessarily mean that there`s not more of them ).
I`m sorry, can you be more specific about what you want to be explained?, for I don`t know what you find problematic. If it`s the way how to form locative that you don`t understand, may the paradigm tables at Local Lingo be of any help? You can find paradigms for both nouns and adjectives there.

I'm using the Teach Yourself book.

I've used that book, too, and if I'm not mistaken, there should be a list of declensions on the last couple of pages in that book.

Také jsem použil tu knihu, a jestli nemýlím se, měl být seznam skloňovaní na posledních stránkách v té knihe.

I wonder how is it with numerals declension, is it there in the book as well? It`s not too difficult to find basic declension models for nouns and adjectives on the net, pronouns are there too; but I sort of supposed to find inflection of numbers explained (in English) somewhere, too. I haven`t found it.

Zajímalo by mě, jak je to se skloňováním číslovek, to je v té knížce taky? Není tak složité najít na netu základní vzory pro skloňování podstatných a přídavných jmen, zájmena jsou tam taky; ale tak nějak jsem předpokládala, že někde najdu i vysvětlení (v angličtině), jak skloňovat číslovky. Nenašla jsem.

Jo, to jsem měla na mysli: 1 (1 tam není?), 2 (a oba/obě), 3 a 4. Zbytek není tak těžký. Každopádně, mssccb84 má spoustu času, než se tam dostane.

Yeah, the Teach Yourself book does have the charts in the back but at first they were a little confusing... but after looking at the website I was given, they make more sense to me.

Věřila bys, že já bych klidně řekla to bylo v té knize dřív bez jakýchkoliv výčitek svědomí? Něco jako to už jsem v té knize četla dřív (=než jsem se dostala na stranu 200).

Would you believe that I`d easily say to bylo v té knize dřív without any reproach? Meaning something like that I`ve already read in the book before (=before I came to page 200).

Věřila bys, že já bych klidně řekla to bylo v té knize dřív bez jakýchkoliv výčitek svědomí? Něco jako to už jsem v té knize četla dřív (=než jsem se dostala na stranu 200).

Věřím Mně by to přes jazyk nešlo ... když už, tak před tím... ale i u toho bych se zasekávala Asi mám problém Ovšem stejně tak mě tahá za uši "Já jdu teď dole, a pak na oběd.", což říká můj kolega.

Pozor, pozor, hlášení! Já, cal, prohlašuji, že jsem 23.6.2006 v 11:30 hodin opravila to, co jsem opravovat neměla, a tudíž na sebe beru zodpovědnost v případě, že by hreru (nebo to byla Rikita? ) vypadala jako blbec
