Dminor wrote:Eh, well.. It's better to use the actual reconstructed pronunciation. :yep: And since the alfabet was adapted especially for this language, it's not that difficult:

a [a]
ε [e]
ι [i]
ο [o]
υ [y]
ω [ɔː]
η [ɛː]

ει [eː]
ου [o:]

β [b]
γ [g]
δ [d]
ζ [sd]
θ [tʰ]
λ [l]
φ [pʰ]
χ [kʰ]
῾ [h]

Aren't ου [u:] and ζ [zd]?
It's at least how I learnt them.
Anyway, I pronounce Ancient Greek with the reconstructed pronunciation, though I can't help pronoucing φ as a f and tend to "palatalized" my ει : [eiː]

I'm sure about the ου (your pronunciation is that of modern Greek), not entirely about the ζ. But that's a minor difference anyway. :P By the way, I pronounce it with a Dutch version of the Erasmian pronunciation :para:
