It's not exactly roar but more like 'growl shortly'. Like, what animals like bears or oxen could do, or someone with a hangover. Like a wnb-roar but you just don't have energy to do it properly.

Thanks, that's interesting! I've just realized that maridict lists four different verbs derived from мӱгыр-: мӱгыр-аш (2nd declension), мӱгыр-ал-аш (1st declension), мӱгыр-алт-аш (1st declension), and мӱгыр-алт-аш (2nd declension). The differences between them seem to be quite subtle.
