I tried learning it for about 3 months a few years ago. I used Pimsleur, I thought that was pretty good. I didn't get very far with it though, I gave up (when the relationship ended...), but I remember it being a very challenging language due to all the inflection.

A lot of us language nerds seem to have a thing for Lithuanian for some odd reason. :P

Georgian. What an amazing looking script. At least in some fonts.

Definitely, it is. The reason I studied it here on UniLang way back then a bit. LingQ will apparently support it soon, so that made me wanderlust it again.
Please correct my mistakes!

Georgian was a popular choice at my university (one of the linguistics professors was a world expert in it) but I never got the bug. At the time, I was much more interested in Armenian, which I think also has a beautiful script.

It's not my type. Which kind of Armenian were you interested in, anyway?

I used to want to do Armenian before Georgian myself, although now, I don't care so strongly either way. (If anyone's interested, I'm personally interested in Eastern Armenian).

(If anyone's interested, I'm personally interested in Eastern Armenian).

But not Western Armenian?

I have to say the same for me. While I am kinda interested in Western Armenian, I'm much more interested in Eastern.

I tried Western Armenian for a while. I have some friends who speak Western Armenian, and I wanted to speak to them and their families. Only one of them can speak Eastern (he spends a lot of time in Armenia), but it was still really tempting to switch to Eastern all the time because of the music/media available in it.

That being said, I slightly prefer the sound and overall vibe of Western.

Unfortunately, I've forgotten almost everything in it now :nope:

Western, for similar reasons as n8an (i.e. all the Armenians I knew were Western Armenian speakers). It's a shame that it probably won't survive much longer in the diaspora.

I've really lost my ability to study languages. I just can't do it with any sense of concentration, commitment or regularity. It's such a shame. I miss the person I was who could just do it for days and hours and weeks on end.

I still wanderlust languages but the actual sitting down and doing it just doesn't happen anymore :bittercry:

Swedish. I saw a girl reading a Swedish book on the bus. Yes, that's all it takes.
