I have a feeling you're not the only one who's dropped out at this point, so this group is currently dead/inactive.

I prefer "inactive", but yes.

But as Schwarzenegger said, I'll be Bach.

Ok, so I've made it to about lesson 3. I've been taking it good and slow though. Given the lesson size, I think I can give a good run at reaching where I left off (Lesson 10) by Saturday. Or at least I'll try too. :P

I did the third exercise from the workbook for the first chapter on p. 4 and for the second chapter on p. 7, as well as all the textbook exercises (問題) for Chapter 2 (didn't do Chapter 1 again because we already did those earlier):

It's a new week, so we all know what that means! :P

Lessons 6-10 are up! Also kanji Units 1-5!

I'm going to go through and post the rest of the exercises for Lessons 3-5 as well (both from the textbook and workbook).

I finally got caught up with you, księżycowy, so I posted my answers for 標準問題集 and for the textbook exercises in Lesson 3 and also corrected the mistakes I found in your own answers. :P

Lessons 1 & 2 from 「標準問題集」

And lesson 3 from the textbook:

Keep in mind we're using two different editions. I'll double check my answers a bit later. Though you could still be right. :P

I don't remember that, but given that there are only six things that I identified as errors, at least apart from exercise #3 of 標準問題集 at least, they don't seem that different in this case, but okay! :) (It might be interesting if exercise #3 is something different in your edition from what it is in mine. In mine, there are four illustrations, they create a dialogue as an example to accompany the first one, and I had to create similar dialogues for the other three).

Exercise 4
4. だれのですか。(I'm sure you could ask「あなたのですか。」but that's not what they're apparently looking for here.)
Exercise 6
1. だれ、わたし (Yeah, I forgot to write that, but it was in the exercise, so it's fine. lol)
3. この、わたし この wasn't even one of the choices here (Yes it is. In my edition at least. And it's the correct choice to boot.)

Exercise 4
2. その、わたし (Yeah, I forgot to write の again, but it's in the exercise. :P )
Exercise 5
3. どちら 何階 (なんかい) or どこ
5. なん どちら or どこ (These two your corrections are actually, well, correct. )

Okay. In mine, it says: これは_______________________ ⋯はい、 わたしのです。 So in mine, they were looking for that.
Exercise 6
1. だれ、わたし (Yeah, I forgot to write that, but it was in the exercise, so it's fine. lol)

The two options for the second one of those in my version at least were わたし and わたしの. In this case, わたしの is the right answer and わたし is not.
3. この、わたし この wasn't even one of the choices here (Yes it is. In my edition at least. And it's the correct choice to boot.)

Okay. In mine, it says: これはあなたのですか。 ⋯いいえ、 |あなた、わたし| のじゃありません。 So it's just わたし in mine.
Lesson 3 Textbook
Exercise 4
2. その、わたし (Yeah, I forgot to write の again, but it's in the exercise. :P )

But in this one, the three options for that last part are わたし, わたしは, and わたしの. わたし and わたしは are both wrong, and わたしの is correct.

Like a phoenix, the study group rises from the ashes!

Time to continue on!
I'll be going through Lesson 9 in MnN this week. I'll post updates and what not this coming weekend.

One thing I definitely need to do is catch up on the kanji lessons.

I've started rereading part of the second book in the Yookoso! series. I'm on p. 28.

Other things I could do instead is try to work through the Japanese book I got most recently, reread manga from Mangajin, or do something along with you, perhaps in MnN.

I'll join this study group too, I'm currently doing the final chapters of Genki (I'm working on chapter 21 right now).
