No, it's 100% nonsense with no real words at all except the final 'I'll leave this game now'. :D This article says it's probably a "Finnicized" version of a German rhyme: the idea is that kids who didn't know any German heard the rhyme and tried to copy it. There's for example this one:

Entel tentel,
Zwei Regimentel
Gehn zu Tische,
Fangen Fische,
Zuckerkönig los!

And:

Endchen tendchen,
zwei kleine Männchen
gehen zu Tisch
fangen ein Fisch,
1, 2, 3,
und du bist frei

Compare with Finnish:

Entten tentten teelikamentten
Hissun kissun vaapula vissun
Eelin keelin klot
Viipula vaapula vot
Eskon saun piun paun
Nyt mä lähden tästä pelistä pois
Puh, pah, pelistä pois

(This is the one we used. The article I linked has different versions of the same rhyme on the second page, if you're interested.)

Edit: here is a link to a longer version of the lyrics, which begins with ussa pussa, ussa maru, sina oled mängus karu (you are a bear in the game) and ends with trips, traps, trull, sina oled kull! (you are a hawk). It's also interesting that in place of kibe käsi it has kipe käis, which doesn't mean anything, but rhymes better with tipe poiss. You can almost imagine someone seeing it written and thinking "that must be a typo, we should change it to kibe käsi..."
Also, this way of counting in that second version makes me smile: üki, kaki, kommi, nenni, viide, kuude. (For those here who don't know Estonian, the numbers in Estonian are üks, kaks, kolm, neli, viis, kuus.)

Ooh, thanks!
I like those numbers too. Toddlers often count like that in Finnish. :D

It's exactly the same with Estonian (i.e., that it is a version of a German rhyme repeated by kids who didn't understand the words). There's actually an Estonian version of the first one you posted which is fairly close to the German version (but which was clearly meaningless to the speaker):
German: Entel tentel, zwei Regimentel gehn zu Tische, fangen Fische, Zuckerkönig los.
Estonian: Entel tentel või aga mehtel, edim tishe, vange vishe, jukker kõnih loos.

And this set more or less show the evolution of a similar song from fully Baltic German to a fully Estonian one (with the second one basically German with an Estonian accent and the third one adding in some Estonian words and losing the original meaning, the fourth one losing the original sounds entirely in favor of a more meaningful phrase in Estonian):
1: Entel, tentel, drika drei, dreissig Kinder kommen herein, ein Not, Kaiser Brot, sira, wira, du bist tot.
2: Entel, tentel, trika trei, treissig kinder kommerein, ein not, keiser prot, siira, viira, tu bist tot.
3: Entel, tentel, trika trei, kreisi kindral kommerei, ein uut, keidser pruut, siira viira tupis tuut.
4: Entel, tentel, trika trei, isa mulle lõi, et ma palju paksu putru sõi.

I'll try in the evening... Some words are easy to understand because they are almost identical with Erzya, others are more difficult, with their surprising consonant clusters (like пончфт :hmm:). But it's an interesting challenge. :)

More Värttinä! This was in my recommendations. :)

It's sung in South Eastern dialect (also known as Karelian dialect). I took the lyrics+translation from here but I changed piätäs > piätäis, muuta > muita and added a space between mie and ko. I think they might've been typos.

Suur Tamm ("The Big Oak") sung by Marika Ahven, Kadri Mägi, Ülle Paltser & Helen Kõmmus
Estonian
The introduction says that this song is known in Estonia and Karelia, and is more than 2000 years old. The song is related to courting and marriage. In the song an oak tree is found in the sea and it is taken to several different places to grow (father's yard, mother's yard, outside sister's door, etc), but it refuses to grow until it is taken to the groom. Then it grows so tall that it reaches the clouds. It is cut down, and the wood is used to make many things, especially things for the wedding: a chest for the bride's clothes, pews and doors for the church, wood for the pipe organ, etc.

What a coincidence, I've just finished a Sami literature course and now that I come here, I see Linguaphile sharing Sami songs. :D

Here's one my favourites:

Solju - Suoivaniid eatnamii (To the land of shadows) / Northern Sami, I suppose? (sme)

Lyrics are here on the second page.

Yes, Northern Saami, and thanks for posting! So maybe you know, Solju is a mother-and-daughter duo, Ulla Pirttijärvi and her daughter Hildá Länsman. Ulla Pirttijärvi has been a member of many different bands (Solju, Ulda, Áŋŋel Nieiddat). I like her style of joik. Anyway, here is a joik she sings for her daughter Hildá (who is the other singer in the video you posted):

And some others that I like with joik only (no translatable lyrics), first one composed by Hildá Länsman, then one by Ulla Pirttijärvi.

It was believed that it was necessary to whisper anytime the Northern Lights could be seen, to avoid angering them.

Yes, I found them some years ago. Muittut is another one of my favourites, thanks for posting it! :)

----------------------------------------
Let me share a song about northern lights, too! :D A short backstory: We had a huge play in school when I was in the 1st grade. It was a whole story about a girl who wandered and I think searched for something? I never quite understood what it was about, but my class were northern lights in the play. We learnt to sing the song and then we danced in a circle and waved colourful silk scarves to mimic northern lights. The whole school (except those who were in the play, of course) were watching. I'm not quite sure if our parents were there or not, but probably they were. :hmm: Anyway, here's the song!

Revontulten leikki / Game of Northern Lights (fi)
(Melody: a Finnish folk melody ; lyrics: Ilmari Kianto)

https://youtu.be/Ty9whFpJxCY

Lyrics:

By the way, this song has two words that are no longer used: konkari in the sense of 'a good working horse' and ailakoida 'to think' or 'to like something'. Since neither of the meanings of ailakoida make sense in the poem, it's possible that Kianto chose the word just for the sake of alliteration. [source]
