Heheh nice songs! I'm going to use "Beraghsa Beraghs" to learn some new vocabulary because I already found a translation for it. :)

So, these are (in this order) six Iranian songs, six Afghan songs (all songs that were previously posted in this thread but with YouTube links that are dead now), and six songs by Tajik artists, except that I found the lyrics for their songs in Persian script.

This is the only song I remember from childhood but haven't posted in this thread yet. It's also the only one I've had absolutely no luck finding the lyrics to! It's another song by Hassan Shojaee called "Chang":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TieOLijJt5s
Here's "Hawar Hawar" by Kourosh Yaghmaei because why not?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnPHhaFgDzU
This is a Hichkas rap called "Firooz." It's not really my cup of tea, but ''' introduced it to me once, so here it is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxkncQCpzzc
Another rap song by Yas that I think was posted here once (click CC for subtitles in English):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7OYFvNQ_hQ
A much older song, namely "Khater Khah" by Ahdiyeh (I once posted a modernized version of this by Shahram Kashani):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr7oNAms930
A lyric video to a Googoosh song called "Man o To":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4Cty_10w20
A Hazaragi song ("Watandar" by Seeta Qasemi) that I reposted in the Persian study group once:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSoGMK4tiVc
"Qataghani" by Zabi Estalifi, which I also posted in the study group:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3cZ77b89vU
"Tanha Shodam Tanha" by Ahmad Zahir, which I intend to post in that same group soon:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPincz9p7Jk
A rendition of a Herati folk song called "Olang Olang" (which in reality has many more verses than this clip does):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSmRkKNXO-k
I found a transliteration and translation of the first two verses and refrain of this rendition here. No luck with the others yet, though.

"Shishta Bashem" by Farhad Darya:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGbYrGAcgdo
A rendition of the old Afghan folk song "Bacha Jan Logari":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEPhAYi2mYY

A song called "Kam Kamaki" by a Tajik artist whose stage name is Basanti, but I think she released it in Afghanistan, or something like that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok0YEnGz0CI
A Shabnam Suraya song called "Kujo Kujoi Yorum":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2iODXQ85og
"Rafti" by Nigina Amonkulova:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNWhhsFFfc8
Another Nigina Amonkulova song called "Rahguzar," which I don't actually know too well at all but remember was posted on this thread earlier with a YouTube link that's been taken down now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6SuJ7lC4iA
Lyrics (in Cyrillic script, also available in Roman script) and translation into English (translation into Russian also available): https://lyricstranslate.com/en/rahguzar ... guzar.html

"Khanda Ba Lab" by Imatikhudo Amrikhudoyev from Tajikistan, which I wrongly posted in another thread for the Pamirian languages in the South Asian forum:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9diOnnGxUw
And another song by Amrikhudoyev that I wrongly posted along with it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO9CBb94ByI

I've just barely started learning about the fascinating world of Persian music from various countries outside Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, i.e. in countries where Persian is not (at least currently) the language and without migration from these countries playing any particular role.

This is a song from Ottoman Turkey, sung with a pretty strong Turkish accent:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfJqbRjLLAA
Apparently the lyrics are:

هـم قمـر هم زهـره و هـم مشتـری در آسمــان
آرزومـنـدنــد و مـی‌خـواهـنــد ســازی بشنـونـد

نالـه‌ی عــزال و شهنــاز و سـه‌گـاه و هـم بیــات
راسـت از نیـریــزی از شـایـد حجــاز بشنـونـد

And this is a Ram bhajan by Amir Khusro! This one is sung with a strong accent as well (it basically sounds like the singer's reading the Persian words as if they were Urdu):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnCVHYOcKlQ
I'm not sure what the lyrics are to this one. I heard something like:

!شوخی هندو ببین! بودن ببرد از خاص و عام
."رام من هرغزنه شد هر چند گفتم "رام رام

but I'm not sure whether that makes any sense.

I think it's

شوخی هندو ببین (بو) دین ببرد از خاص و عام
رام من هرگز نشد هرچند گفتم رام رام

The only part that doesn't make any sense there is what sounds like 'bu' which is why I set it off in parentheses. Dropping that word(?) I understand it as:

Look at the mockery of the Hindu! He's robbed everyone (lit. nobles and commoners) of their faith
He never became familiar/tame (raam) with me, no matter how much I said "Ram Ram"

Wow, that sounds completely different from what the people in the video thought it said!

Maybe the mystery word is just supposed to be او?

Yep, I don't think they actually knew Persian. They just picked out the words they thought were familiar (mistaking شوخی for شوق , for example) and made up what they thought it could mean.

Almost- that helped me figure it out! It's کو , a poetic abbreviation of که او .

Thanks! Here are some more songs I found pretty interesting that are in Persian but not really from Persian-speaking countries.

This is "Chabi Majnoun" by Maryam Chemirani. It's a Persian translation of a song from Ottoman Europe (I think originally in Balkan Gagauz Turkish or something). It's part of an album that also has Greek songs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HOqg3MQYiM
This is a song by an Armenian singer named Vatche Meguerdichian called "Anar Anar" from an album called Meghavor in which he sings in various languages (this is his only Persian-language song so far as far as I know, though):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TxJjiQhXdQ
This is apparently a rendition from Pakistan of a poem by Allama Muhammad Iqbal called "Zara Sanam Be Fikr-e-Sarguzasht" but sung by an Iranian singer (Salar Aghili?), if I'm not much mistaken:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDXCZGoFQRw
This is another ghazal by Amir Khusro, in a style very typical of Hindustani music, but I've never heard a Persian song in this style before! It's called "Yar-e-Man Biya" and is sung by Kankana Banerjee:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xS_sN5pg_I
This is a ghazal sung by Mohammad Rafi called "تازلف پریشان تو در دست صبا بود"! The lyrics are written out in the video itself (as well as in the video description):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf7LMtb7kaI
And finally, this is Pakistani singer Noor Jehan singing an Afghan ghazal called "Zad Ze Berahmi." The lyrics to this one are written out in the subtitles:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py8v2my34WY

Here are some more Iranian and Afghan songs because why not? :P The first is the full version of Giti Pashaei singing "Molana" (because a clip of it was posted earlier but not the whole thing):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9Dg_drqUV4
This is "Nago Mora" by Ghazal Sadat, a Hazaragi song, apparently from 2013. It was posted in this thread earlier but with a now dead link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZEH4t4ht_E
This is "Kharchanghaye Mordabi" by Habib (Mohebian), another Iranian song once posted in the Forum Song Contest:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXyCWJzonPY
And this is "Dara Ba Dara," a song by Afghan artist Nashenas, which I encountered in a documentary about life in modern Afghanistan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BdUWlrh8Cs
EDIT: Also, before I forget, here's a bandari song (in Iranian Persian) called "Bigharar" by Moein (there's also at least one Arabic version of this song):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPwqhJ8BFNM
And "Guft Ki Har Du" by Tahmina Niyazova from Tajikistan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ItPZJGGhA

Just re-adding some of the missing links and also adding videos of some songs that were posted in this thread without YouTube-specific links (at least some of which are dead by now)

"Ey Yar Yarom," an Iranian song by Mohsen Namjoo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8aWQHI9Nqc
"Qataghani" by Afghan singer Nasrat Parsa:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5wLULctm9Y
"Yalla," an Iranian Persian song by Arash:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCf94ckZdgY
"Amelaket Ba Gardan," an Afghan song by Jawid Sharif (there is also a Pashto version of this song called "Amel Ye Pa Ghara Da"):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6VvxVDoss4&spfreload=1
The Iranian movie version of "Soltane Ghalbha" by Ahdieh:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lQkPjDUt-c
Afghan singer Ahmad Zahir's version of the same song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qxvkw5H5EE
And another version by Iranian singer Aref:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N60ktsw8ZBs
Finally, the Afghan song "Shishta Bashem" as performed by Tajik pop singers Shabnam Surayyo and Jonibek Murodov:

Here are a few more songs that were missing plus two Pakistani ghazals, one written by Iqbal and the other, by Amir Khusro!

"Baran" by Iranian singer Omid Soltani:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wib5DRms5iw
"Sitara" (or "Setareh") by Afghan singer Valy Hejdasi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5trlZrNIys
"Man Amadeh Am" by Iranian singer Googoosh:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxvUQ1PSqfs
"Dukhtar-i-Bagh," a ghazal written and composed by Sayer Herati and sung by Afghan singer Ustad Mahwash:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xbq3VapNRx0
"Ey Namat" by Iranian singer Alireza Eftekhari:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgJwffNxoVg
"Mara Ba Ghamza Kosht," another ghazal by Muhammad Allama Iqbal and sung by a Pakistani singer also named Iqbal, i.e. Iqbal Bano! :) The video has the lyrics with a transliteration and translation into English:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxVfvYvWGVA
"To mesl-e-goli," an Iranian song by Said Pursaid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1XZdEBcWb0

Trying to add some more songs back in :)

"Navai," a traditional Iranian song sung by Bijan Bijani:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy6OAwHPY5E
This is a rendition of بوی جوی مولیان by an Afghan singer named Dawood Pazhman. I think I remember seeing this being posted here before, but if I'm right in thinking so, then the clip that was posted was taken off YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BHGl2r1QVc
This is another Iranian song by Omid called "Yaran" (actually, it seems unlikely that this was posted earlier, but oh well :P):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF51rct0bVg
This is "Sobh" by Afghan singer Habib Qaderi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KA-DqFCxkM
Yet another Omid song called "Ghermez" (no idea whether this was posted earlier or not):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0U4QUzNn4w
And "Kajak Abro," by Habib Qaderi again:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khCOmCaguXo
"Man Age Nabasham," an Iranian song by Kamran and Hooman:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFbI07ArA2A
"Ay Sanam," an Afghan song by Mustafa Jalali, with the first few lines of the Romanized lyrics repeatedly displayed in the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWkSL2X-6sU
"Man Toro Mikham," another Iranian song by Kamran and Hooman:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tDWwopyTOg
"Paimona," an Afghan song by Zeb and Haniya on Coke Studio (Pakistan):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wIRNkE0uXY

Someone mentioned Iranian singer Benyamin Bahadori's album 85. This is one song from that album called "Man Emshab Mimiram":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myPU-FpiVEY
This is Afghan singer Ustad Mahwash singing a rendition of one of Mawlana (Rumi)'s poems, "Beshnaw Az Nai." This and most of the other songs in this post were posted in this thread earlier but with now-dead non-YouTube links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP6k62joWAI
This is another song by Benyamin called "Ye Khoone" from another album called 93. I'm not sure whether it was posted before or not:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFBEY1EyjJ4
I'm pretty sure this Afghan song (or a variation of it?) was, though. It's "Kar-e-Ashiqi" by Tawab Arash and Amirjan Saboori:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COa_3XiHV4o
This is another Iranian song that was posted earlier. It's called "Sib" and is by Simin Ghanem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf9CdpidqxM
This is another Afghan song that was, namely "Biya Ki Kabul Jan Burem" by Najim Nawabi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSCpcYLrudI
The rest of the songs below are all Jewish songs in Persian that were never posted here before. These are some students of Bukharian Jewish singer Ezro Malakov, apparently singing some Bukharian Jewish songs (or at least songs in Persian in a non-Iranian accent, at any rate):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51521kxPC-E
These are some (originally Iranian) Persian Jewish songs sung by Jeanette Rotstein Yehudaiyan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f35b0cujDvk
This is a Bukharian shashmaqom version of a traditional Jewish Passover song (originally in Hebrew and called "Echad Mi Yodea"). This version is called "Yakumin Ki Medonad?" The video has the lyrics written in the Hebrew, Cyrillic, and Perso-Arabic scripts, followed by a translation into English:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nt2UHsLS6M
This is a more modern(ized?) Iranian(?) Persian Jewish song called "Azizam" and sung by Hadar Maoz:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ityuXwu8zg

Loved this! What a voice.

Also really interesting that this is the first time I've heard Bukharan "Judeo-Persian" that actually uses Hebrew words, some of which (eg. mila "circumcision") which would not be understood by gentile Tajiks (most of the time I see videos labeled "Judeo-Persian" it's just Jewish Bukharans speaking Tajik in a way indistinguishable from Tajiks of other religions). Yet they also use the specifically Arabic-Islamic رب العالمین "Lord of the Worlds".

I'm glad you liked them! :) Regarding Bukharian songs, you might be interested in this if you haven't already seen it: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/El ... n-Jews.pdf.
eskandar wrote:Interesting that rather than transcribing the song into the Perso-Arabic script, they prescriptively "corrected" it to what looks like a more Iranocentric standard.

Maybe they were trying to translate it into Iranian Persian so they could be sure Iranians would understand it and not get thrown off by Tajik archaisms?
Yet they also use the specifically Arabic-Islamic رب العالمین "Lord of the Worlds".

This sort of thing happens pretty often in Malayalam despite the strict divisions between Christian songs, Hindu songs, Muslim songs, etc. I can think of at least one Christian hymn that refers to God as the "Golden Mother," for example.

So I found a bunch more Omid songs plus the remaining Eftekhari songs and some of the other missing Afghan songs, plus a few extra videos of some of the same Afghan songs:

This is a song by Amin Bani called "Bivafa," who I'm guessing is Iranian(?):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n48NBDLXiw
This is an Afghan song by Hamdard Bashir called "Maida Maida." I was pretty excited to run into this song because voron once posted a video of a Turkish TV program that used it as the theme! :D I was wondering what song that was:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmKyGFL7EMw
This is a song by Mostafa Fattahi and Kurdish singer Chopy Fattah that was apparently posted earlier:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOedgNZ2gXc
Inder Geet is an Afghan Sikh singer who, as far as I can tell, has released only two songs. One is in Pashto, and the other is this one in Dari called "Dil Aseere Chashm-i-Siyoh." He also released a Punjabi version of this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwA04t9tfO0
This is the Tehran-born Israeli singer Rita Jahanforouz's first Persian song, "Shane":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NnsIqN2yLk
This is a clip with a short Bukhori wedding song in it (no Hebrew loanwords this time from what I can tell, although it does use the Uzbek word for 'eyebrow'):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sJELJ5cdqA
This is "Vay Cheghad Mastam Man" by Iranian singer Sasy Mankan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeHePMVmPs8
Which I discovered thanks to this video of a wedding that's apparently Persian Jewish
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT41DrfnR2E
This is "Mamnunam" by Tajik singer Zulaykho (Zu-zu :P):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6KESF6OACA
Which I found thanks to this video by Nilofar Dadikhuda, the Tajik lady featured in Bahador Alast's video about varieties of Persian:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jARPwsSXsEw
This is an Iranian song by Mohsen Namjoo called "Buddha":

This is apparently a Hazaragi Buddhist song from Bamyan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EA_WVUrwiOM
This is an Iranian Zoroastrian song by Maryam Akhondy called "Pir-e-Moghan":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g-Yfbq0u4Y
And this is a Tajik song that is apparently also Zoroastrian-themed:

Yeah, seems likely.

This is the Tehran-born Israeli singer Rita Jahanforouz's first Persian song, "Shane":

I think this was the original version (Arabic):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdQYC3nVxRE&

It was remade as a Persian song (this is the version Rita is covering):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49fGHj12FUs

There was a Turkish version as well:

Thanks for the song chain! :D Apparently, "Band Kamre" from Kuchh Khatti Kuchh Meethi (2001) got at least part of its tune from the Iranian song "Gohar-e-Shab Cheragh" by Shahram Shabpareh:

In the Dari LangMedia dialogue I've been working through lately, one of the two women complains that too many Afghan songs are ripoffs of songs from other countries. The specific example she cites is "Naro Ay Yar O Naro" by Ahmad Wali, which was apparently copied off of (the Bollywood song) "Chalo Dildar Chalo" from Pakeezah (1972):

This is a performance of Iranian traditional music in Batumi, the second-largest city in Georgia (and capital of the autonomous region of Adjara):

This is a ghazal in Persian by Mirza Ghalib called "Biya o Josh" with (an apparently slightly misspelled version of) the lyrics presented in the video itself. It's sung by Pakistani Punjabi singer Farida Khanum:

This is another performance (or part of a performance, I suppose) of two Iranian songs by a singer named Nahid but in Japan. Nahid apparently has her own band there:

And this is the famous Pakistani Sufi singer, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, singing Amir Khusro's ghazal "Namidanam Che Manzil Bood," preceded by "Manam Mehv-e-Khayal-e-u" by Bu Ali Qalandar. The video shows the lyrics to both (again with some mistakes) along with translations into both Urdu and Hindi:
