The font doesn't always show up so nicely, though:
ⲧⲙⲧⲣⲕⲏⲙⲉ

That's cool! What are the letters that aren't showing up? I only see ⲧⲙ ⲧⲣ ⲕⲏⲙⲉ, which if I understand the alphabet correctly, should read /tm tr kemɛ/?

Oh, did you mean ⲧⲙⲛ̄ⲧⲣⲙ̄ⲛ̄ⲕⲏⲙⲉ?
So the Coptic word for Coptic is /tmntrmnkemɛ/. That seems like a lot of consonant clusters!
vijayjohn wrote:Hmm...now I wonder, how come the characters from Wikipedia show up but not necessarily the ones from this keyboard?
vijayjohn wrote:It's [t.mənt.rəm.ən.keː.mɛ]. EDIT: Or maybe the last vowel is [ə]. I'm not sure.
dEhiN wrote:Oh, so the macron over the consonant indicates a schwa preceding the consonant?
vijayjohn wrote:I guess that's the liturgical pronunciation used in Coptic Churches nowadays for both (Bohairic) Coptic and Greek.
