Aww, don't criticize yourself! :(

Criticize księżycowy all you want; I don't care.

But seriously, exploring is a pretty natural first step and a healthy way of familiarizing yourself with more languages than you already know. :) I have a lot of languages on my plate, so I'm not going to commit to studying more, but I always try anyway so that other people studying other languages have someone supporting them through the process, too!

I've never actually seen this, only seen my brother quoting it, but I couldn't resist. :P

In the interest of moving our Turkmen discussion out of the Coptic study group:

Not all of my interests are tied to my heritage or studies, dear Vijay. Sometimes it's nice to have one or two things to study purely for the fun of it.

Do you have a thing against Turkmen? :hmm:

Well, this TAC round basically ended up going nowhere, and all the study groups have basically left me in the dust. :doggy: I guess I might as well finally answer this question, though:

I have a lot against the government of Turkmenistan (it's comparable to North Korea in a lot of ways...). Other than that, I don't really have anything against Turkmen; I was just surprised that you were so interested in that particular Turkic language because, I mean, it is the sole official language of a modern nation-state, so not nearly as obscure as most other languages you seem to be interested in without having any particular connection to them. :hmm: I think the most intriguing thing about Turkmen to me is probably how close it is to Salar.

Sure, you answer that now.

But, I'll bite. Do you know of any lessons for Salar? :P

I'm also quite interested in Uzbek, Kazakh, and Uyghir. (I'd say Kirghiz too, but I'm not as sure about it.) Oh, and Mongolian. But that's not Turkic. Close, but no cigar.

Anyway, I'll stop here before I distract myself too much.

Because you're interested in those but don't seem to require lessons for them?
