Thanks for sharing the lessons, Linguaphile!
It is really nice to hear native speakers, although all of them have heavy Russian accent, but this is usual, I guess, for the native speakers of all minor Uralic languages in Russia.

Veps has more phonological influences from Russian than the other Finnic languages, though (especially with palatalization and vowels), so some of what sounds like a "heavy Russian accent" is actually how modern Veps is supposed to sound, from what I understand. I haven't heard enough audio samples of Veps to be a good judge of that, but I suspect the videos don't have as much of a "heavy accent" as it seems. I suppose it's not how Veps used to sound, but for modern usage I believe it's correct, or fairly close (although there are also a few parts of the videos where pronunciation is inconsistent, so it's clearly not perfect).

I just came across this - it appears to be a full documentary (1 hour 41 minutes) in Veps, with English subtitles. I have not watched it, but from the few minutes I looked at, it looks interesting.
"Sel'ktas vedes kala kokib" = "In clean water the fish bites"
