I assume forum posts don't count...:P

Maybe the Wikipedia article on Lanc-Patuá because it seems to claim that it's only spoken in Brazil, which doesn't seem to be the case at all.

The last literary work you read that was written by a comedian.

I surely forgot some but the one that comes to my mind is "Everything is under control" by Hugh Laurie.

The last thing you couldn't read because it was too small for your eyes or the font made it undecipherable.

Figure 1-9 in The Historical Roots of Elementary Mathematics by Lucas N. H. Bunt, Philip S. Jones, and Jack D. Bedient, the calculation of the volume of a truncated pyramid in hieratic followed by the equivalent in Egyptian hieroglyphs, taken from "Mathematischer Papyrus des Staatlichen Museums der Schönen Künste in Moskau" by W. W. Struve in Quellen und Studien zur Geschichte der Mathematik, Part A, Quellen, 1 (1930). I can't read hieratic (and I couldn't really make head or tail of the rest, either, although at least I could read the numbers and fractions, I guess).

The last thing you wanted to read but couldn't afford to.

"Les principes fondamentaux de la médecine chinoise, 3e édition" by Giovanni Maciocia
Not for me but my husband - he could maybe afford it but hesitates to spend so much on a book :P
I never buy books myself, either I borrow them from my father-in-law, either I take them out of the library :)

The last thing you read you forgot to bring back to the library and so got a letter for it.

Pygmalion? I remember it was a play that I checked out in order to read to someone. But this was on the order of 15 years ago.

The last thing you read on someone else's recommendation.

Probably "All the Things You're Doing Wrong When You Travel, According to Anthony Bourdain," an article by Megan Leonhardt in Money magazine

The last thing you read involving a non-vegetarian eating strictly vegetarian food for more than three consecutive days.

That was a little bit specific dear Vijay, but luckily I came across Neon Magazine, issue of May 2018. The journalist had to follow every religion's banning politics, with food, and not using any electric device on Shabbat and concerning relationship with others and so on... And he applied Hinduism and Buddism concepts about food - not killing any animal because it can be reincarnation of a loved one. Very interesting article!

The last thing you read featuring spiders.

The Kids Discover magazine about spiders.

The last thing you read that included political protests/demonstrations as part of the plot.

Berlin, 1989.
I had read this as documentation for my book "Berlin-Est" :)

The last thing you read featuring a French as a bad guy.

That would probably be some detective novel by Jean-Christophe Grangé since most of his characters are French.

The last thing you read that made you think what the author could have been smoking.

The last thing you read where you found a spelling mistake.

I don't read with a truck. I use my eyes.

There are a lot of trucks in A fine balance, though, like the one which kills a protagonist's spouse and the one which carts away two other main characters to a building site where they labour uncompensated. There's also cruelty, political demonstrations, and a non-vegetarian eating strictly vegetarian food. You'd love it, Vijay!

The last thing you read that put you to sleep.

The last thing you read about a rascal.

A rascal, eh? Hmm...I guess Randidangazhi by Thakazhi Sivasanakara Pillai.
linguoboy wrote:a non-vegetarian eating strictly vegetarian food. You'd love it, Vijay!

 It does sound like it could be a book I'd love, at the very least. I keep thinking I must have heard about it somewhere, but I'm probably confusing it with other Indian English books with titles that are just "A + [adjective] + [noun]" (in particular, A Suitable Boy).

The last thing you read in which the narrator mistook a human for a mythical being.

I can't even remember the last thing I read with a narrator.

The last thing you read while at the bathroom.

Some part of "Lunch" in VKN's Payyan Kathakal
Osias wrote:I can't even remember the last thing I read with a narrator.

I mean, a narrator doesn't have to be any of the characters. It could even be the author themselves, even if they don't participate in the story directly.

The last thing you read that mentioned a(nother) book.

L'arab du futur quoted Gaddafi's Green Book.

The last thing you read describing an Atlantean ritual.

The closest thing to that I can think of is "The Secret of Atlantis," an Uncle Scrooge comic by Carl Barks.

The last thing you read that was made into a movie.
