Sure you can! In fact, I think the only Taishanese song I've ever posted may be from Boston. And this lady is in New York and says that although the Taishanese community is dying out, there are still a lot of Taishanese in New York:

So I've been paying some attention to the characters used in the Taiwanese Made Easier lessons and I've noticed a few interesting things:
伊 is written as 他 or 她 (i - he/she)
阮 is written as 我們 (goán - we)
咱 is written as 我們 (lán - inclusive we)
無 is written as 馬 (bô - question particle)
[And there are plenty of other examples. ]

I know you're far from an expert on Taiwanese Hokkien, but I'm curious if you might know anything about this? We've discussed the dialects being written more before.

INB4: I know that dialects are not generally standardized (especially when it comes to the written versions), certainly not as much as Mandarin.
