Nah, it's my cousin.

That's fine with me Luís.

Anything is better then 250kbs. :P

It's be annoying if you want to look something up a few months later, though, if the attachments have disappeared.

Perhaps. But I'm willing to risk it.

I'm only asking for a few MBs anyway.

It looks fine to me in Firefox, Edge and IE.

Wouldn't it make more sense to host those bigger files elsewhere?
Please correct my mistakes!

If it's something I want to permanently post here sure. But for a topic like this, I don't care it my screenshots go way in X months. I just see no reason why it should be limited just to post, for example, a screenshot for a technical issue.

As it stands now, I usually have to compress my screenshots because they are over the 250kbs. I'm seriously only asking for a MB or two.

Vijay, in the last screenshot you posted, the name of the BCS and Indonesian/Malay forums is still truncated. Maybe 85%? :P What I don't understand is why it doesn't display correctly at 100%, because in theory, it should... :hmm:

Regarding attachments, I'm not sure if it's possible to restrict them to a specific subforum (e.g. this one) or to a group of users (e.g. people with more than 10 posts). We certainly don't want spammers uploading crap and wasting server space... :para:

The name of the BCS forum is truncated no matter how much I zoom in or out. The name of the Indonesian/Malay one is truncated unless I zoom out to exactly 67%.

Me neither, I don't think, unless maybe the issue somehow still isn't fixed after X months. When I tried making my first screenshot, I found out I couldn't do one of my whole screen because it was way over the limit, so I kept having to figure out just how much I could select without obscuring the issue I was trying to illustrate.

Honestly, I never cared about this whole font thing personally, perhaps because like Luís, I'm not on a Windows machine. I don't even care that much about the design of the front page right now. As far as I'm concerned, it is what it is.

Now that's a good point. We don't want spammers to post shit attachments. Then again, we don't want them posting anything really. :P

I still don't think it'd be a problem to increase it to 1mb, but it's not a huge deal to me. If need be I'll just post anything would need to attach to my Google drive or something.

And Vijay-kun, you might not care about the font thing, but not everyone has the same OS. It's way better functionality wise with the font change on my end.

250Kb is hardly anything these days, I agree with you guys. I think it would be OK to increase it to 1-2MB, but I'll have to investigate a bit more.

Also, if someone else around here is using Linux, I'd love to hear some comments about the new font/layout and whether you have the same issues as vijayjohn or not.

(and this is why I hate front-end web development... you change one tiny setting and suddenly each person starts seeing a different thing :silly: )

I know. That's why I pointed out I'm not on a Windows machine.

I got you Vijay-chan. :)

I just wanted to clarify the improvement us Windows users are getting with the change.

Linux Mint is obscure? Well, OK, I guess I could see that.

On this forum, though, I thought it was almost standard. :P

The obscure languages part? Or the obscure OS part? :silly:

I thought it was very common for people on this forum to use Linux Mint.

Swing and a miss...

I wouldn't be shocked to learn most users use a version of Linux at the least. I'm a gamer, so Micro$oft is kinda a must. (Not that Linux isn't supported by a bunch of games now-a-days, but it hasn't always been that way. And I like some older games too.)

I was going to change it, but it was already set to 2MB... :hmm: I don't know if someone else changed it, but can you guys try it?
(Btw, I've uploaded some screenshots today and they've all been quite small in size [100-300Kb]. Saving the file as a .PNG, for instance, will make it take up less space)

Yeah, that's usually how it is for me. PNG, 100-300ish kbs.

I just tried uploading one (305KBs), and it still says the max is 250KBs. :hmm:
