Yes, I have been doing judo since I was five years old. It's sometimes difficult to find the balance between work, family and hobby but I try to train at least once a week now.

The person after me hates songs that get stuck in the head.
Please correct my mistakes. I'd really appreciate it ❤

I don't hate any song that gets stuck in my head, unless that it's a Justin Bieber song.

The person after me likes to drink various soft drinks from all around the world.

I used to own a bicycle, but I couldn't find much area to use it and I haven't ridden a single bicycle for years.

The person after me wonders what exactly a Topkek is.

I didn’t know, but I looked on the internet and I found it’s a Turkish muffin.

The person after me takes a tea every afternoon at five o’clock .

"Area" is typically a count noun in English. "Space" works better in this context, but I'd rather rephrase the sentence.

"Single bicycle" threw me at first because a "double bicycle" is a thing, so it sounds like there's an implied contrast here (i.e. "I haven't ridden a *single* bicycle, but I have ridden double bicycles".) If you're just trying to emphasise that you've ridden no bicycles, I'd use "at all".

Antea wrote: The person after me takes a tea every afternoon at five o’clock .

This strikes me as a very posh expression. Most people I think would use "have".

It's also a very ambiguous sentence, since depending where you are, "tea" here could be mean the beverage, a fancy light snack, or the ordinary evening meal. If you just mean that they drink a cup of tea, I would say that.

Back to the game:

No, I don't drink tea except if it's iced; and the only tea I like to drink warm is fennel tea.

The person after me doesn't eat canned snails at all.

I don't eat any kind of snails, although I know that here in some restaurants they are served with "allioli" and people say they are delicious.

The person after me has sometime in their life eaten rabbit, with "allioli" or without.

In English, we use the Occitan form aioli because English-speakers were introduced to this sauce by the French.
Antea wrote:The person after me has sometime in their life eaten rabbit, with aioli or without.

Without aioli. I think last time I had it was in ragoût.

The person after me has a lucky rabbit's foot.

tiuwiu wrote:The person after me hates songs that get stuck in the head.

I think colloquially it's more common to hear "stuck in your head" with your being the impersonal pronoun.

Antea wrote:with aioli or without

For me, that phrasing sounds more literary and either formal or slightly archaic. I think it's more common colloquially to hear "with or without X".

I don't have a lucky rabbit's foot. I've never believed in the idea of a lucky charm.

The person after me has ridden a double bicycle before.

No, my shoes are usually dull because I forget to polish them.

The person after me wishes they didn't have to wear shoes at all.

Oh yes, I love to walk on my bare feet  What kind of evolution is that, forcing us to lock our feet into those tight, ugly and expensive things? :para:

The person after me thinks shoes should be held far from the creation–evolution controversy.

I'm not sure I understood the question. Do you mean something like "the person after me thinks people involved in the creation-evolution controversy should leave shoes out of it"? If you did, then...well, I guess. I don't think much of that controversy anyway. :P

The person after me has the Blue Danube Waltz playing in their head for no apparent reason.

I think the question followed on the heels of her response. She linked her dislike of shoes to evolution, and in turn asked whether the two should be linked. At least, that's how I see it.

vijayjohn wrote:The person after me has the Blue Danube Waltz playing in their head for no apparent reason.

I do now! Thanks! (And I didn't even have to look up the waltz to start playing it in my head! :D)

You can replace that "and" with a comma.

france-eesti wrote:The person after me thinks shoes should be held kept far from the creation–evolution controversy.

Ethereum - space heater

Antea wrote:The person after me is planning a picnic for the weekend.
"Week-end" is an old-fashioned spelling in English.

france-eesti wrote:The person after me thinks wearing a tartan skirt is old-fashioned.
Not living in a place where tartan skirts have ever been normal attire, I couldn't say. I do think it looks very Scottish, though.

The person after me is rewatching their favorite TV series.

Nope, I barely even watch TV these days. I keep myself busy with so much else (mostly this forum :P).

The person after me needs to spend some time figuring out what to say about the person after them.
