Yes, I think 大意 usually means loose translation, usually a poetic translation that sounds refined in Chinese.
But for all I know, they always use 大意 when subtitling songs (not in real time), so for all I know, a literary translation could also be possible.
I found a Zhuang version of 月光光, but it sounds much more Sinicized.
