Don't you see that you've proven the exact opposite of what you originally claimed.

The earliest fragments of Latin poetry are priestly incantations.

The character of Virgil, as drawn by Asconius Pedianus, is eminently pleasing.

I find the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis very fascinanting. It totally dismantles the long-held idea that language is just the "dress" of thought.

L'ipotesi di Sapir-Whorf è, secondo me, molto affascinante.

All enduring works of literature gather new meanings from age to age.

The movie The Matrix is a good way to explain Plato's myth of the cave.

Augustus wrote repeatedly to Virgil for extracts from his epic poem in progress, but the poet declined.

The President is always a controversial choice, always an infuriating but fascinating character. His job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it. (The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy)

The poetical comparison of a human being to a god, especially in beauty, is a frequent conceit.

Lord of Light! Come to us in our darkness. We offer you these false gods. Take them and cast your light upon us. For the night is dark and full of terrors.
