I consider it a bit disrespectful and childish to call acoustics "garbage" No music is more "normal" than other music. Doesn't earn you points with me...

I discovered Mari Boine thanks to the music of the movie "99 francs".
I liked the movie and I loved the music.
I discovered that it was a song from Mari Boine "Diamantta Spaillit" (Reindeer of Diamond).
A great great song !

-Jhumpa Lahiri

This song is listed as by Henry Kaiser and David Lindley; the singer is Iŋgor Ántte Áilu Gaup. Years ago I heard a different version of this song (also sung by Áilu Gaup) on television, with the same lyrics and joiking but without the music (or maybe it had different, less noticeable music; mostly what I remember is the voice). I liked the other version better, but this is the only version I've been able to find since then.
