Wow, that was fast, thank you so much! :)

I just looked up the words, so my conclusion was:

"Eallin leat (to be) čáppat"...!? I guees "lea" is the declined form of leat!?

could you also use "fávru" instead of "čáppat"? or does this mean more like handsome/pretty?

Thanks so much again!

Exactly. :D

Well, I'm no native speaker, but I don't think that "fávru" would fit to describe life.

A brand new grammar of Pite Saami by Joshua Wilbur has just been published. It can be downloaded for free from the Language Science Press website: http://langsci-press.org/catalog/book/17

I just found a great etymology-based database for Saami (and other Uralic) languages, including proto-languages and less common languages like Akkala Saami, Ume Saami, Nganasan, Mator, Ludic (Lydian), etc:
Álgu at the Kotimaisten Kielten Keskus - Institute for Languages of Finland
It takes data from a wide variety of sources, so orthography and reliability are inconsistent. But for some of the lesser-known languages it's one of the best databases I've seen so far.

The Norwegian Saami Association is holding a weekly online couse via Zoom for Northern Sámi starting next Tuesday. I'm having a hard time navigating their website, but here's their Facebook post with more information.

I recommend. If you're foreign, you'll never get a cheaper and easier offer ever again! (If you are resident of Norway, there are better options available.)
