A couple of years back (probably some time between 2005 and 2010), the unilang.org website used to host a "Sounds of the World" section. It provided audio samples of native speakers reading a brief text in a multitude of languages. That excellent resource was a great place to hear a sample of what any given language sounds like.
In fact, this forum still contains a couple of postings that refer to contributions for that section, such as http://forum.unilang.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1818&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
, or https://forum.unilang.org/viewtopic.php?t=6664
Meanwhile, the unilang.org website seems to have been converted into this forum, and I cannot find that "Sounds of the World" section any more. Where has it gone? Is the data still available?
Thanks in advance!
P.S.: I tried to find some information on what has happened on this forum. Unfortunately, the forum software tells me that my request to search for "sounds of the world" contains four very common words that will be stripped from the query, namely "sound", "of", "the", and "world", and expects me to enter some alternative search terms.
