About private messages (PM)

• If you wish to contact a Forum Administrator or Global Moderator about something related to the site or forum, please send your PM to the group as a whole, not to an individual member. This allows us to deal with the issue faster and more efficiently. You can see a list of groups at the upper-right corner of the PM window, and any group listed there may be added as recipient from that list.

• If someone sends you an abusive PM, please report it by clicking on the exclamation mark in the upper right corner. There's a drop-down menu in which you can find common descriptions of what might make a message be against the policy, but don't be afraid to use the box Further information if none if them really fits or you think a more detailed explanation would be helpful.

About reporting forum posts

• Reporting is for telling the moderators and administrators that they ought to take an extra look at the post in question, and nothing else. Maybe the post is against the policy, or maybe it's simply in the wrong place, almost any reason is valid, and it's up to the moderators to decide if anything has to be done, and if so, what that might be. The important thing to remember is that you won't get any innocent person in trouble by reporting a post that they've made, and you won't get into trouble yourself.

• You report posts in the same way as you report private messages: by clicking on the exclamation mark in the upper right corner. Then there's a drop-down menu in which you can find common descriptions of what might make a message be against the policy, but don't be afraid to use the box Further information if none if them really fits or you think a more detailed explanation would be helpful.

• If you see a spammer please only report them once. We have the ability to move all posts made by a user with only a few clicks, so reporting several posts by one spammer only serves to give us more reports to close. Anyone who frequently reports multiple posts by the same spammer may be given a warning if they don't stop despite a reminder.
