Thanks for the notification, that is indeed a serious error caused by the upgrade. I'll try to get it back up later this week!

Just a question:
How to include an audio recording in a post?

When you go to compose a post, near the bottom of the page is a tab called "Options" and one called "Attachments". If you click on Attachments, you can upload attachments. So one way to include an audio recording, especially if you have it saved on your computer, is to upload it as an attachment. If you don't have it saved, you could use Vocaroo which is an online voice recorder. You just record yourself and then paste the link to the recording in your post.

I haven't played around with trying to add a video clip, but I'm sure the same general rules apply: you can only upload a small attachment. I can't remember the specific size.....actually, hold on, let me try......

The maximum size is 250 kbs.

Yeah I think for vid clips, I would link to an external site. I'm not sure if anyone would want to upload a vid clip of themselves, but if that was the case, I guess one thing they could do is use Daily Motion or Vimeo to upload their video. (Or I guess Youtube would work as well!)

I meant audio clip, but same difference. :P It all comes down to the size of what you'd be attaching.

So... do tables not work anymore?

Code: Select all

Testtesty test

test!test test

Testtesty test
test!test test
You need the alignment coded too:

Testtesty test
test!test test

Code: Select all

Testtesty test

test!test test

If you leave your mouse over the table button you can see the codes.

Is it just me, or does the link for the Resource Archive not work again?

Never mind, I figured out how to access it.

EDIT: By the way, is there a way to add to the list of resources?

I suppose so. But I don't have access to that part of the site, so it's probably something only proycon (and maybe Yserenhart) can do.

My understanding of the resource section is that it's been kept around more as a keepsake/momento of the old site, but currently the main focus is on the forum. I think that's why no one really has access to it (except, as Luís said, the server admins). I'm not even sure if proycon would add anything to that section. I don't think the admins have decided officially what to do with that section.

Exactly, everything on the site except the forum got retired a while back.

If I recall correctly, there were so many broken resources that had proy tried to get that section of the site truly up and running again, we would have lost most of them anyway. Also, old stuff made with old code.

I tried to add a Lydian word in its own alphabet on the Cognates thread, and this appeared:

Sorry about that, phpBB 3.1. doesn't support the Lydian alphabet for some reason. It seems to have been fixed in version 3.2, but I have no idea when we'll update.

So, when ever I merge a topic I get this:
Screenshot (18).png

I assume it's trying to redirect me to what it thinks is the new topic, but get's screwed up along the way. The merges work, it just gives me that screen right after I merge the two topics. :hmm:

Anyone else have this problem?
