It's the Western dialect. No need to specify that it's west of kan.

Added. I'll see if I can change the flag later on.

Changed

księżycowy wrote:I just noticed that the first character for the native name for Kansai-ben is missing, it should be 関西弁

Fixed

księżycowy wrote:I just noticed when posting on the translation thread that the code for Seneca comes up as a ? instead of the flag we had given the the listing: [flag=]see[/flag]

Code: Select all

[flag=]see[/flag]

Oddly enough, the listing in the lang. list still has the correct flag.

I hadn't really noticed this before, but apparently the flag BBCode seems to be its own thing and none of the new flags are actually working with it. I'll have to investigate some more...

Well, Monegasque is technically a dialect of Ligurian which is already present in the language list.

Huh, interesting.

I also notice they don't redirect to the proper Wikipedia page either. Or at least Seneca doesn't. And it has a Wikipedia page.

Whatever the case, do what you can.

Thanks for what you've done so far! :D

I talked to proycon and it turns out this feature hadn't been migrated from the old site, so it was still pointing to the old flag database. He promptly migrated it and it seems to be working fine now :)

(see)

Edit: it's probably the same issue when it comes to the Wikipedia redirects. I'll have to ask him.

Please note that there are currently some issues with the [flag] BBCode, but this shouldn't affect how flags are displayed elsewhere.

The "native" name for Middle English is kinda odd. They certainly wouldn't have called it "middle" after all. Should we just remove it, since the way it was spelled is the same as modern "English" (well, one of the prominent ways it was spelled anyway)?

Or, to add some Ye Olde flavor, we can change it to "English/Anglish". :P

I'd like to suggest the addition of the other Western Punjab languages.

English name: Northern Hindko
Native name: (ہزارہ‎) ہندکو
ISO 639-3 code: hno
Script used: Arabic
Flag: flag of Pakistan

English name: Southern Hindko
Native name: (اٹک‎) ہندکو
ISO 639-3 code: hnd
Script used: Arabic
Flag: flag of Pakistan

English name: Saraiki
Native name: سرائیکی
ISO 639-3 code: skr
Script used: Arabic
Flag: flag of Pakistan (there are some other flags in use but they seem to represent the movement to create a Saraiki-majority province in southern Punjab rather than the language itself)

Changed the rule. If the native name is the same as the English name, it won't show them both

Could a flag be added for Dan which is I think also called Yacouba or Yakubasa? It's a Mande language, so perhaps instead of a specific flag for Dan, a general one for all Mande languages could be added? There's a song in the FSC Used Songs list which is in Dan and whomever added it use their own image because we don't have one for Mande or Dan. I have no idea what flag we could use although the image that FSC entry uses is http://i48.tinypic.com/xd6ufl.gif.

I can't open that link, for some reason. Can you provide a flag from somewhere else?
