The "jump to" menu at the bottom right

Postby Woods » 2019-01-18, 9:59

In the "jump to" menu in the bottom right of the screen it used to be possible to type the name of the forum one wanted to reach, click enter and so it took a fraction of a second. Now it doesn't work that way anymore - you have to click on the menu, scroll down to the actual forum you're interested in and click with the mouse - it takes a very long time! Is there a way the developers can change the menu back to the old one?

That button hasn't been changed recently, so I'm not really sure what you're talking about... :hmm:

Maybe he means it used to be easier before the forum was moved from unilang.org to forum.unilang.org?

So when the software was upgraded from phpBB 3.0 to 3.1?

Yeah, in that case it's about the software itself and not something anyone here changed.

Well, it could've been four years ago - I guess I'm pretty old here.

Hasn't anyone else noticed the difference?

Getting back to it - the developers, could you implement back the type-search option in the "Jump to" menu - it was very handy for navigating to the desired forum from a computer with a keyboard.

Or if it's external software that is used for the forum - can we not contact the developer of that software and ask them to put it back?

You can always Ctrl-F, type the name of the forum, press Esc to close the search bar, then Enter.

This works in Firefox.
