Is there any point to learning a conlang no one uses?

I've always found Lingua Franca Nova really charming for some reason. I've been trying to learn it on and off for years now. Yeah, I like how it sounds, and I see it as far superior to Esperanto (even if it does have some Euro-centric bias, such as how it forms passives), but really I have a hard time convincing myself to learn a language where the only thing I'll ever use it for is reading a translation of Alice in Wonderland. And don't ask me why they would choose to translate something that's so heavily dependent on word play, which obviously doesn't translate well. The only advantage to it is that its in the public domain, but was it really their best option? Seriously.

I know learning languages is supposed to exercise your brain or something, but frankly I don't see Lingua Franca Nova being much of an exercise. I mean, the grammar is simpler than Esperanto and even if you don't know the language you can probably recognize 90% of the vocabulary just because its a posteriori.

If the conlang has a really small userbase and hardly has anything produced in it, well, I guess your main option, if you like the language, is to produce things yourself.

I'm looking at the Wikipedia article on that conlang and it seems there's a few more things in it. The Little Prince, A Christmas Carol, King Lear, Mark Twain's Letters from the Earth, and, most importantly in my opinion, some original poetry written by some guy called Guido Crufio.

I've sometimes thought of learning Interlingua and making things in it for exactly the same reasons (I think it's better than Esperanto and it deserves to have more written in it), but to be honest, when it comes to "useless" languages I'd rather make new original things in Latin. :P

Grasias! - Mersie!
Per no cosa. - Pro nad.
Joia! - Joi! Salud!
Tu es vera bela. -- Tu è realmente bel, tu è veramente bel
Pardona? - Pardon?
Me ama tu. - Mi ama tu.
Me debe vade aora. - Mi deve vad agor.
Asta la ora? - Ata log.
Adio. - Chau.
Bon sera. - Bon suar, bon noit
Bon fortuna. - Bon sort!

Lingua Franca Nova es desiniada per es un lingua vera simple, coerente, e fasil aprendeda, per comunica internasional. El ave varios cualia bon:

Zé, please include an English translation (preferably in traditional spelling) when you write in another language on the conlanging forum. It's common courtesy so others can understand what you're saying.
