Unilang's Lexicon Building

Postby Kaylee » 2011-06-04, 5:07

I hope I was allowed to make this thread. I didn't see the thread here and ran a search in forum and through google. I couldn't find anything...

I was really interested in the thread for a lot of reasons, I hope to see a few words I like translated into anothers' conlang/s. Of course I can't tell you to do them, but who knows, someone might just post it!

To play (?), someone posts a word that the next poster posts into his or her's conlang (or if you want, more than one conlang translation as long as it isn't super-mega long) and gives the next word for the next poster to translate into his or her's post. This is a great way to build up words for your conlang that you never thought of before, especially if you are building a dictionary. It can be words, phrases etc etc. For example, someone posts "Cat" the next would post what "cat" is in their conlang. Make sure you list the name of your conlang, if you have a name for it, before it. :)
I'll start it off!

(Čáluŋka) Ga’encá = giant, literally "tall person/people"

Word: Afraid
