Hello,
I thought it would be good to post some sources and techniques for creating languages based on LIE (Late Indo-European).

LIE is one of two languages which directly evolved from PIE (Proto-Indo-European). It is the ancestor of all modern IE languages and therefore perfect for constructing new languages.
A big benefit of LIE compared to PIE is, that it uses an easily understandable orthography and not the strange superior H's for aspiration and the laryngals (H1, H2, H3) ...

*bʰréH₂ter --> *bhrāter
