Хубаво е, че те виждам и тук! Вършиш страхотна работа в казахския форум (за чието създаване си виновен единствено ти

)
Good to see you around here! You're doing a great job in the Kazakh forum (whose creation was only your fault.

)

I've been reading the
Bulgarian verbs Wiki page and I have a question. What are the "secondary imperfective verbs"? Or should I rather ask, are there any differences in meaning between the initial and secondary imperfective verbs? I mean, how would you define a difference between мета and измитам? Wikipedia says "
Although they are imperfective as the initial ones, they preserve the perfective meaning of the second verbs, they are only grammatically imperfective" and I must say I don't quite understand that paragraph, so an extra explanation would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Those are two forms of two different verb with coinciding forms:
чета(imp) - да прочета(per) = to read (anything)
прочитам(imp) - да прочета(per) = to read completely(to be reading completely) e.g. a book
чета and прочитам are different verbs with different meanings, even though their perfective counterparts coincide. This is because some verbs can only form their perfective form with a preposition. The difference in meaning is (almost) always very small.
you can always consult
eurodict if you are unsure of the meaning of a ver

Yeap, this is very hard to be explained by a native speaker since we use these forms naturally and don't think if we use "perfect aspect" or "secondary imperfect aspect" of the verbs. I saw Psi-Lord (also a member of Unilang who has disappeared without trace) has asked the same question in another forum:
http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=1195305. I hope it's useful.
I confirm that the difference in the meaning is very small and which form is correct is more or less a grammatical question than lexical.
I'll give you an example (but I'm not sure if this would help a lot)
(imp.) Докато те няма,
ще мета двора (всеки ден). - While you're away
I'll sweep the yard (every day). (That means I'll sweep the yard but it's not sure that I'll sweep it the whole every day).
(perf.) Докато те няма,
ще измета двора. - While you're away
I'll sweep the (whole) yard (but only
once).
(sec. imp.) Докато те няма,
ще измитам двора (всеки ден). - While you're away
I'll sweep (the whole) yard (
every single day.)
More clear now?

I believe so, thanks both of you for the explanation!

And those examples were indeed helpful.

Здравей! Аз сега уча Български език.
Basically I just started it because a Bulgarian professor at my college is offering a free Bulgarian course. I've had 4 lessons now and so far it's not too hard since we're just starting off and I already know some Russian and Polish. I hope to post here from time to time now to practise and might throw in a few questions when stuff gets trickier.
Аз обичам езици.
