księżyc - Myanmar

Postby księżycowy » 2014-05-04, 13:12

Here I'll post notes and other things I find interesting as I go through learning some Burmese.

Updates will be sporatic, as Burmese is not a major focus (at the moment?). I'm largely just picking a little up here and there.

Why “Myanmar” in the topic?

Wow. It's been awhile since I've posted here.

I use the resources by John Okell. I haven't seen Colloquial Burmese yet, and considering I have enough as it is, probably won't buy it. But I could check it out on Google books are something if you'd like my opinion of it.

Because the language can either be called Băma săgà or Myăma săgà. Either of which în it's spelling in romanization (seeing as the Myanmar fonts don't always like cooperating) would be a bit odd, so I settled on Myanmar.

Yes, I'd like to return to it some day. Why? Are you interested in Burmese too? :)

No, I am not interested in Burmese. I just didn't know you've learnt it, so I was surprised to see this thread. :)

I remember some basics of pronunciation, but that's about it. Why?
