A highlight in Viet underground gangsta rap, with all its macho bragging silliness and profanity: Nah - 1 Chọi 100. ("1 Against 100" - Warning: explicit and witty content)

Nah is quite good with "romantic" tracks too, like "1 + 1 = ?".

The guy's a Saigon local, and that's the Saigonese dialect.

The best he could come up with was this.

Nhưng công nhận Rap Việt phát triển nhanh thật.

Reminding me of this. My class's video acting to the song. :D

Hey, that was pretty cool. The singer was good too with nice audio. Who was the singer? Thanks.

The singer was Duy Mạnh. This is the original clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8f1GZ-y8I8 :)
I'm finding another clip of my class where the boys rap a content of Scientific Socialism (Chủ nghĩa Xã hội Khoa học) but maybe it's lost.

Last night it dropped more than 10*C to be about 9-10*C this morning. Suddenly so cold! And hell windy, my family lost sleep last night because the wind kept banging the doors and windows and shrieked all night. I really don't want to go outside at all X_X esp. on a scooter.

Great topic. I've been trying to learn the difficult language of yours lately, and there's nothing like good music in the interval to help pass the headache (literally) caused by the tones and strange sounds.

Lol! That's not metal. That's cheesy feel-good post-grunge, à la Creed, Daughtry and... heaven forbid... Nickelback.

I went to an extreme metal gig last month, named Amoured Fish. The local acts were mindblowing. Mr.Kutkit, Purple Balloon (which is actually punk - in more developed markets you wouldn't have seen them in a metal gig at all) and Seismic Origin were all excellent. SO sounds like a death metal band from Scandinavia! Vietnamese underground rock and metal have progressed so much it's unbelievable.

Thought Rosewood a gothic metal band :) Just checked out the song though, sounds a bit sen' :P Though the vocal is cool.

TOLD U SO! :P Gotta see it to believe huh, last year I went to rockstorm and was very amazed too lol. Got names like ngu cung, rosewood and unlimited there. Expected smth like buc tuong and such, but only a few bands played nu and alter, abt 2/3 of bands there chose metal, not extreme heavy bang ur head onto the wall stuffs and most of them (especially bands from HN) looked like white-collars singing rock, but well it's still a surprise. I'm still very unaware & unprepared to see them there lol.

Certainly hope that smth like amoured fish would come to town, there's a ngu cung club here where allows rock/metal bands to play gigs, but the only time I came there the music was... just like noise, and not even artistic.

Ah, and YOU go to extreme metal gig ? :P Thought u'd never go out :P
