Please help translating this rug

Does anyone recognize this as farsi? I have talked to a couple of Arab friends, who say that this is not Arabic, but Farsi.

The rug is wool pile treated to feel like silk as best I can tell. It looks like a poem to me.

I think so, there are Persian poems on it, but if you could upload more clear pictures of them, I would be able to tell more confidently.
