I'm moving to Kurdistan on the 22nd of this month! Kurdish foreign members are welcome to visit :D

Btw Limagne, I've been using the Joyce Blau book a bit. It's quite good although I think there are some exercises with multiple answers where she only gives one which makes me doubtful of whether I've understood it. But vocabulary is good (with a French dictionary!).

According to the title, it's the final scene of a play called 'Nama Leyla Qasim'. Might have been shot in Qamishli, Syria.

Hey, are any Kurdish learners still around? I'd appreciate a lot if someone posted a song in Kurdish and glossed the lyrics (or gave a literal translation).

I think I had posted a rough translation of that Yalda Abbasi song somewhere in the Kurdish forum. But then, that's going to be in the Khorasani dialect of Kurmanji :)

Have a look at this though:

What is the status of /q/ in Kurdish (specifically Kurmanji)? Does it have a strong presence?

Yes, it's a common sound, used both in native and borrowed words.
Examples:
Paqij 'clean' - of Indo-European origin
Qelew 'fat' - of Indo-European origin
Qeder 'destiny' - from Arabic
Qet 'never' - from Arabic

That's a little intimidating but I guess it's always good to try phonemes outside of your comfort zone.

Or if you're interested in Sorani Kurdish (since you didn't specify), here is a link that has some suggestions. Including two PDFs (one of which you can download at the Harvard site voron linked to above):
http://www.kurdishcentral.org/en/grammar-resources-sp

While not freely available online, and at least at the time I bought it a bit costly, there's also the Kurdish Basic Course by Abdullah and McCarus.

If you guys who are interested in Kurmanji want to see and hear it in a TV series, the Turkish state channel TRT Kurdî (previously named TRT 6, still universally known as TRT şeş) has produced several TV series in Kurmanji. Sadly, no subtitles, but they are fun to watch anyway:

Mem û Zin (Mem and Zin, these are personal names): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjzXsHVaC-s
Agirê Evînê (Fire of love): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuwxzFUqq5o
Can û Ceger (Soul and heart, literally liver): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kY7IShUnjY
Jan (Pain): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LDpsBZiAKg
Bayê Felekê (Wind of destiny): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3XsUSS745M
...and a few others.
