Levike is correct.
Afrikaans is one of two daughter languages of Medieval Dutch. The other daughter language is of course Standard Dutch.
As the youngest language in the world, a quite large array of languages have influenced Afrikaans. Major languages may include Dutch, German, English, Portuguese and French. Minor languages may include Khoi, Xhosa, Asian Malay and San.
However, when we say
influenced, we usually refer to loanwords or expressions - as Afrikaans did not adopt a grammatical structure from any language (other than Dutch), but rather [consciously] simplified the grammatical structure passed on to it by Medieval Dutch. In that sense, it's still very Germanic.
As Levike pointed out, Afrikaans retains about 95% of the Dutch vocabulary. Many words of French origin can also be traced through Dutch.
